So comrades serious thread here In your w8 for revolution have you consider any other method of hurting capitalism ? unionism illegalism terrorism reformism accelerationism De-Leonism Radicalization etc…
What do you think is the best way to bring revolution and do we need a revolution in the first place ? can tankis and anarchists ever get along using these tools ?
Gavin Lewis
It's fucking useless. The left is dead. The battle that should have been won in the 20th century was lost. There is no fucking way the left can defeat the bourgeois forces of global capitalism. Never in history have men had so much power over the world and its inhabitants. The left can't even fucking get along. It's over.
If you want anything to happen, it has to be in the 1st world. Any leftist struggle anywhere else will inevitably be crushed through neoimperialist forces. We're fucked. It's over.

There still hope, comrade.
Just wait until automation really takes off and suddenly there are no jobs for 90% of society.
Owen Johnson
Don't bet on it. Liberalism is extremely flexible. We're most likely going to have to wait until capitalism destroys itself because it's fucking impossible to destroy it ourselves.
Jack Edwards
What are they going to do when there isn't jobs for the vast majority of the population?
Maybe if porky is smart he will implement something like a universal basic income to appease the masses but even if that works people are eventually start asking why in a system where nobody does any real work the distribution of profits is so skewed towards the bourgeoisie.
Jason Morgan
Maybe I'm a bit pessimistic, but the truth is that I don't see anything working.
There are now so many institutional and structural mechanisms in place to make an "example" out of any government that attempts Reformist policies and so little potential architects of a new social democratic state (very few economics are to the left of, say, Democrats today) that it would end up just collapsing and damaging its own cause.
We can try and ressurect Unionism, but we'll probably just collapse after the first media crusade against us. If we manage to get by, they can just set up their own "unions" and give them a best deal on the short term, and I'm sure all the idiots would give in.
Terrorism never worked on the first place and will continue not to, and can only turn the masses against us and invite further repressive measures against socialists.
Accelerationism is just … whatever. Future historians will only mention it when discussing how completely out of ideas and completely impotent the Left at the turn of the 21st century was.

If you mean accelerationism in its vulgarized, popular version of pushing capitalism to its worst, then it's definitely one of the silliest ideas I've heard.
For it to work, we have to presuppose that people contain, within them, an embryonic, unconscious, inherent, latent revolutionary socialist worldview that only needs the right circumstances to blossom. This is completely out of tune with reality. History show us that people can live in conditions of slavery or near slavery while others enjoy luxury right in front of them and do nothing. They can live in complete misery and be thankful for the opportunity as long as they're fed and sheltered. To believe the human spirit has a imbedded line you can't cross is to think too highly of ourselves.
And if capitalism really reaches a point of no return, the ruling classes' grasp of mass communication will shift the blame into something else. This is why crisis strengthens the Right instead of weakening it.
Christian Price
Do you think that capitalism will eventually more or less collapse?
Michael Phillips
A system like capitalism doesn't collapse and stays down. It only needs time to be restructured (if needed) and then to stabilize itself. This time can be bought by a number of mechanisms that will absorb dissent.
Nolan Hughes
If that's the case, then there's really only one way to break the cycle, user.

Create jobs.
Services and bureaucracy fill that gap nicely right now. The transition from a material commodity market to a "virtual" one is already happening.
Licensing, patents, terms of use , infrastructure completely out of the understanding of the users… The post scarcity market is an endless spectacle that inherits the properties of old material private property. All of the above combined with foreveremore media consumption, for every person will have even higher amounts of their inputs dominated by media/entertainment shaped by the elite. Slowly but surely the elite rise as the few ones with perspective as the masses descend into useful idiots, progressively into only idiots as machines and technology supplant the need for education.
It matters not hat the living standards of everyone get lifted to post-scarcity levels by sheer technological advancement, the elite keep their distinction, the rulers and the ruled, the users and the used, even if the ruled are no longer able to tell.
The battle against capitalism is a battle of the minds, post-scarcity might just reduce the role material conditions have on it, leaving the elite to their many other devices.

The towel heads seem to be doing okey, I'm not saying we should start bombing banks, because all types of violence is bad etc. But people seem to put an enormous amount of effort in to trying to understand why people blow up stuff. How many times have you heard people say something along the lines of "the charlie hebdo massacre was awful an unjust, but it really isn't okey to portray Mohammed in that way". People need the world to make sense, so the go to reaction when exposed to violence is to rationalize the perpetrators actions. But again, bombing banks is inexcusable and wrong, and I'm in no way encouraging a wave of left-terrorism aimed at the capitalists.
Isaac Collins
probably the best method available in the first world is beating capitalism with it's own weapons: Developing one's skills, building means of production (preferrably automation) and making those means accessible to everyone either under copyleft licenses or in the form of organized commons. In this way you don't have to be completely incompatible with capitalism and can pay your bills while steadily deteriorating it at the same time. Access to key resources probably won't be possible without a revolution though.
it is?

I would be much more inclined to disagree about violence against the bourgies, if I didn't know any kind of act like that would go through the 9/11 syndrome and onlg help devolve America into the police state it was always meant to be. Having said that if we want revolution some kind of violence is necessary
Colton Reed
Nationalism is the only way to strip them of this power. Holla Forums has long understood this. you people refuse to. Enjoy your new-leftism of progressiveness, protected classes and a global proletariat divided along IDpol lines fighting for the scraps. You've earned it.
Isaac Rogers
Oh there will be jobs. But the vast majority will be incredibly menial. The skills and education required for them will be far lower than we have now. Education and skill training will be dumbed down accordingly. And there will be ten third worlders ready to take your job if you kick up stink. The 'left' has spent so much energy fighting 'fascists' that real porky has been able to complete his takeover. You people are part of the problem. You'd rather side with the police to fight 'fascists' than find common ground with them and educate them and work together to take down the globalist elite selling part by part the first world to rich chinks and arabs.

Are you stupid? Maybe you haven't thought about it. Those people who say they don't like "capitalism" tend to be social liberals or social democrats who don't even know what capitalism is and think socialism means getting free shit. Go shove a pike up your ass for being this stupid.
