The Inhumans were supposed to be a movie until Marvel Studios split from Marvel Entertainment and became its own equal division under Disney. This happened after Age of Ultron when Ike Perlmutter wanted to fire Robert Downey Jr. and take him out of Civil War, but Kevin Feige put his foot down and got the Marvel Films division out of the Marvel company. Since the Inhumans are something of Perlmutter's pet project that were heavily pushed to replace the X-Men, they were removed from the movies and repurposed to a tv show, which is still in Marvel Entertainment's domain.
Reminder that the surge in importanceand frequency of appearance for the Inhumans has a lot to do with the fact that Fox is holding onto the rights to the X-Men with a deathgrip, which fucks with Marvel comics and Marvel Studio's ability to implement them in any significant way into storylines and crossovers. Even the word "mutant" is completely off-limits in most of their movie scripts..
So, Inhumans became their new mutants, but then I think they switched producers or some shit behind the scenes, and the new guy wanted to spite the old guy by cutting off anything Inhumans.

From scrolling their wiki page, they just seem like a rip-off the X-Men, with magic gas that awakens their powers. Kinda surprised to see that Jack Kirby had a hand in their creation, I figured he'd be above making such uninspired crap.
Right now the Inhumans are the most obnoxious thing being shilled out in Marvel Comics. They act like houlier-than-thou scumfucks who regard their precious magic gas sacred and will pick up a fight with anyone who tries to mess with it. When the cloud is revealed to have been killing mutants around the world, Cyclops tried to change its composition to make it harmless to his people and he got called worse than Hitler for it. Keep in mind, his actions did not damage the cloud or prevented any new Inhumans from being creating, he just made it harmless for mutants and for that, writers non-ironically call him the mutant equivalent of Hitler. He at least could have put them in the oven or gassed them to death to really deserve being called that (and he still would not have done anything wrong in committing Inhuman genocide).
The moment the movies become unproifitable and they realize what a money sink they are thanks to basically non existing comic sales, they get chopped off.
Unless the Marvel merchandise is some to me unkown cashcow as well.

Well I have a odd theory for this, 1) Referencing the Inhumans, whose lore is really heavily tied to the Fantastic Four lore is an interesting choice, instead of say going with the Eternals. 2) The Eternals as the replacement for mutants would be easier to do, and they come with their own villians and their relationships to the Celestials is a lot stronger.
3) We know that SJW's always project, and so do their enablers, so I feel, that it wouldn't be far off of the mark that Issac projected alot of himself to this MCU project being his baby that would finally cement his mark in the film business. To have it appear as something less than being a full blown film is most likely shattering to him.
You know what the sad thing is? The Inhumans could have made for such an interesting hard sci fi series, think about it, an entire show set in a world that had it's own culture and rules that are unlike anything we've seen in real life, instead what do we get? Ramsey Snow in a goddamn Marvel show.

Bro, let me tell you, um you know based Jack Kirby and not so based Stan Lee? They're Ashkenazim. So it's only natural they'd make up a story that reflects subconscious parts of their heritage in their work.
