Basically, we've always disliked TRS and their associates for plenty of reasons, but until recently still saw them useful at least for the early redpilling of normies. This entire fiasco began when one of their affiliates, red ice radio, hosted an interview with a nationalistic jew on the question of if there could be any useful alliance with nationalistic jews. TRS members couldn't help themselves but come out of the woodwork in support here, and were promptly banned. They then posted about their bans on their website, including one of their mods Lothar. This reignited anti TRS sentiment, and resulting threads brought even more shilling and added more fuel to the fire. This is all before any third parties got involved, and after this is the point where things get incredibly complicated and a little unclear.

I'm not entirely sure how it happened, but I think bulbasaur ended up daring /baph/ to dox him and they obliged. Third parties saw this as an opportunity, and began shilling here in earnest. Thinking that it would sew discord between right wingers they thought allied, antifa released the mike enoch dox they'd been saving. We were more than happy to reveal that TRS was controlled opposition, and spread the information far and wide while digging deeper into it. I'm late to the (you), but on the off-chance you're still around, here's it from this user's perspective. It's a combination of mutual pettiness, quirks, and escalation that escalated as a result of trying to force the two communities together. I'll try and be as fair as I can but I side with 8/pol/ on this one.
Due to the admitted insularness of 8/pol/ and the constant barrage of shills we're faced with, many anons have become good at picking out foreigners who stick out simply by how they type due to learned exposure. Generally these foreigners are referred to as "Shills" and different factions of foreigners behave different ways, such as JIDF, CTR, Goons, Holla Forums, and of course TRS. We're not as flawless as we'd like to believe when it comes to picking out which shill belongs to which group, but it's easy enough to spot somebody who doesn't belong once you've acclimated yourself to us.
Now, there was a time, around the beginning of Fash the Nation, where 8/pol/ was lukewarm to TRS as a group, though many anons had a mixed opinion on the Daily Shoah cast itself due to 8/pol/ being notoriously paranoid and The Death Panel's general appropriating without understanding Chan culture. We tolerated the occasional thread with mixed results, and throughout 2016 few major flare-ups happened with TRS threads going about as well as any other thread about outsiders.
The crossposters, of which I was one of, between the two groups were unfortunately more vocal than most in defending TRS when we gave it our usual brand of criticism, as due to the way the TRS community works, one's ego is connected to the death panel and the forums by way of largely being an extended clique. So when anons criticised TRS, like we do any other organization we have the slightest reason to, for being shit/a honeypot/goons/gay/etc, TRSanons felt like we were criticizing them by an extension and responded in kind, usually with TRS derived arguments such as "movement" and "purity spiraling." An effort to expand TRS's userbase only escalated this problem.
8/pol/, generally, has been reluctant to consider themselves alt-right because they view Richard Spencer as a total faggot, largely due to the fact that much of us found Natt (a former host on TRS) funny and Natt started calling Richard a faggot. When this was combined with TRS's support for Greg Johnson, known here as Grindr Greg, and continual support for Spencer especially after his "Phalanx" was viewed as a ponzi scheme our opinion of the alt-right as a movement soured and as a result, anons trying to assert Holla Forums as alt-right began to be seen as foreigners by some of 8/pol/.
In late September and October there was a sudden uptick in posters appearing as foreigners in threads related to the alt-right and the threads themselves, including some direct linking to TDS as it came out. This peaked on Fridays and weekends. These foreigners used TRS buzzwords that stuck out here and lead to them being called out in an increasing number of threads, until eventually in late October we had a series of anti-TRS threads as a result of a mole of ours on their forum finding out that there was, indeed, a campaign to shill on Holla Forums being directed from the TRS forums in order to grow their userbase, a cardinal sin on 8/pol/.
Not merely that, but moles in their discord channel had discovered much of their "TRS Expeditonary Force" calling us subverted by IronMarch, a forum most of us have never heard of and their enemy of the month due to recent drama on their forums. The "expeditionary force" appeared to have a desire to "colonize" 8/pol/ and turn it into a part of TRS, as if we were a reddit board with no specific culture. Combine this with an increasing amount of anti-chan culture comments while using our jokes on the shoah and the cultural divide between user and TRS grew more stark, especially when we were confronted with it so commonly.
Their forums were told by their administration to lay off Holla Forums in late October but anons kept noticing pro-TRS foreigners all over the board, culminating in a small flame war in mid November in which seven threads were spent detailing that 8/pol/ does not wish to be alt-right, 8/pol/ does not like the alt-right, 8/pol/ does not appreciate TRS and will not join their forum, aside from detailing our reasons for disliking them. However petty they appeared to TRS, our grievances were given no credence, dismissed as ridiculous and detrimental to a movement we never expressed a desire to be a part of. Things mostly kept quiet between the end of November and December, when we entered the current situation.

Red Ice did an interview with a jewish nationalist to open up a dialog about greater nationalism. Holla Forums naturally laughed them of town, though there were a strange numbers of anons defending red ice and trying to define our position as nationalist, not racialist in the thread. Curiously, a leakeranon discovered that TRS was having a thread on their forum about our thread, and TRS members were posting the ban messages when the mods gassed them for defending kikes. One of these was Lothar von Trotha, former mod of r/Coontown, head of the TRS Expeditionary Force, and suspected Goon.
Shortly after we were raided with a barrage of gay nazi porn (On TRS colloquially known as "Ovenposting") attempting to flood the catalog and get VPNs banned as retribution for our mods banning massively dissenting opinions for derailing threads. The timing of these two events is close enough to assume one caused the other. This caused a massive flame war with upwards of 15 threads devoted to telling TRS to get the hell off our board, like we've told them to do time and time again for months. Needless to say, as the threads were shared in the TRS discord server defenders kept popping up with similar arguments for why we shouldn't be mad at them, this is all just D&C, and et cetera.
It was decided somewhere around this time that we would demand that they tell their forumies to fuck off our board and apologize for shilling us twice or we would continue REEing at them and making 8/pol/ a shitty place for pro-TRS users. Then, a group of lads from /baph/ named Pegglecrew showed up and aligned with 8/pol/, including of fondly-remembered long-gone namefag JewInvader. In order to extract our demands from TRS, who had for the past X threads been, dismissing all our grievances, acting like nothing had ever happened to make us this mad, and trying to overthrow our mods in order to stop anti-TRSposting. Pegglecrew responded by ddosing their forum overnight as a warning to show we were serious.
One has to understand how much of the board was consumed with this flame war to understand why it mattered to us so much. 8/pol/ is a rather slow place, but we were going through 2 full threads a day on the topic when brit/pol/ usually made it to one thread every 2 days on average when it was still here, to give one persepective.
We gave them a week to comply with our demands: TRS had to tell their forumies to fuck off of 8/pol/ to show that one does not support these raids and apologize for shilling us to show that they sincerely wanted us to be a part of their movement. A week passed and we'd been given a "just stop talking about 8/pol/" midway through a thread on their forums. We threatened a dox at the week's outset if they didn't comply and were more-or-less mocked by TRS, notably Bulbasaur who came to /trs/ and dared /baph/ to dox him. /baph/ obliged.
