Marxist Society At Uni

So I'm heading for uni soon and I figured I would be joining the Marxist society so I thought I would check them out on the website.

I'm mainly wondering if I anyone here can tell me about past experiences they've had with leftist societies at uni, and what I should expect if much. Tbh, the pic related scares me a little.

Also this one looks pretty good: sussexstudent.com/organisation/socialistworker/

...

Stop being an autistic retard who gets triggered by that word, and see what they're actually about.

I'm doing that either way I just wanted to hear how other people have found more mainstream leftist groups on unis.

all of #bunkerfag are already neocon

If its about understanding and viewing the movement that popped up and how it changed throughout its many "waves" through a marxist lense and how it relates to class and class structures it wouldnt be bad IMO but i doubt it is that

...

call me when it's a real science of social physiology

I really hope this was made ironically.

...

I can shitpost using green arrows too, faggot.

don't get mad, get paid

...

nice one

Am I right, fellow Marxists?

"wow engineering sure is pointless now that we have philosophy" - you
you're going on about economics on Holla Forums so I assume you're talking about marxian economics

Economics in general. Disregarding an entire field of knowledge just because it isn't science sure doesn't land you into positivism.

I disregard economics as a science because it always claims to be a science, it doesn't recognise its own political character and is more often than not put forward as better than or a substitute for philosophy

That I can agree with, unless you dismiss it wholesale. All science has a political character tho.

that's true but with science it's a matter of serving a philosophical beginning and conclusion whereas people like Hayek and internet ayncraps try to make economics the start and conclusion itself

I mean it's not like physics or chemistry. It's definitely more political and ideological, but there's science going on there somewhere.

It's not just that, the entire basis of neoclassical economics and especially what we teach undergrads is basically unsound and empirically false on many topics and sets people up for a bad future in the graduate level.

But that itself doesn't mean economics isn't a science. It's just on a bad track.

yeah I don't think anybody will try to say that what economics talks about isn't worth studying, just that it should be done more scientifically

I'm just gonna assume then that no one knows fuck all about leftist uni groups and this thread is just gonna derail further.

I just came here to call you muke, but then got distracted.

nah muke I think the derailing is pretty much over now that we all seem to be on the same page, you can have your attention now

He was right though. None of us know anything about his irl Marxist club.

My experience is limited to staying far away and not getting kicked out of university when authorities learn of them. Marxism is not actually legal everywhere.

In your case: lots of talking, donations, and leaflets.

Just join them m8.

Mods are truly faggots.

OP, just go. If you don't like what you hear, become a speaker. Make sure your speech isn't salty as fuck and remember that you can say the same thing in many ways when writing it. Plenty of socialist groups form due to a disdain of capitalism rather than a love of socialism, so if a light speech on being aware of the dangers of divide and conquer is needed, make it.

You should have absolutely no shortage of recent material to reference this since you're living in the UK under a Tory government.

Feminism is scary? It can be genuine but its a marxist group so it will be a fucking joke.

Stop projecting, transhumanistfag, I thought you were cool.
