What are your guys' thoughts on technocracy?

I like some aspects off it, but not its lack of democracy.

idea of energy backed money is retarded
how will you reduce complex abstract labour to energy consumption? there's no proportionality

if you have market with energy money, then you basically have market with money backed by gold, but worse
gold can be stored, energy not
money deficit will kill economy

and if you have central planning, you don't need to back your accounting unit by anything.

in technocracy, will anons be able to write OPs that aren't total shit?

I can appreciate some of the efforts it makes towards economic and resource management/organization, though I disagree with it being entirely state-mediated.

When it comes to political organization though, it's just repackaged fascism. The big difference being how it's sold: being touted as being scientific/utilitarian necessity rather than racialist (Germany), nationalist (Italy), religious (Portugal), or economic (Chile) necessity (or a mix of all the above in the case of Spain).

Their social management strategies are absolutely shit-tier too. If ever a system were to be criticized for being collectivist in the common sense (all aspects of life acting in service of and controlled by the state), technocracy would be top of the list, even above the most tankified forms of state socialism.

What is the standard of value that payment in socialism is based on? I hate to bring up the doctors vs plumbers meme, but… will doctors be paid more just because people vote that they should be paid more?

you can democratically decide on wage coefficient for a particular type of labour on the basis of it social necessity

in technocracy, everyone is given the same number of energy credits and everyone works the same number of hours on a staggered schedule

problem is, you can't measure labour results of, for example, linguistics researcher, quantitatively

Yea but if you are going to put broad strokes over all of society in manners of wage then how are you going to prevent discouragement from work? Its discouraging when some guy who slacks off gets paid the same as some guy who works harder.
