But it requires some degree of a "community spirit" to exist so people are accountable to their neighbors and neighborhoods, unlike today where everyone is so isolated and the internet exists so people can be as degenerate as they want and still find like-minded people.

Anyway, I fully realize the problems with democracy by now. Not long ago I would have championed the "common man" but now I see that the common man (and woman) is fucking retarded and easily manipulated. That said, I don't think democracy needs to be completely done away with, instead I think there needs to be restriction on the privilege to vote. For example, it could use some sort of qualification that makes sure that a voter has a vested interest in the long-term stability and prosperity of that nation, such as owning property or having served in the military.

Libertarianism is, I fully admit, a nice ideal that is entirely impractical on a national scale. It could work quite well on a small scale, where people could keep each other in line, but on a national scale it's too open to corruptive degeneracy, unfortunately. I don't see any reason to destigmatize the authority of state though, because any powerful state inevitably becomes corrupt.

That's partly due to lack of democracy. People are encouraged to cling to political ideologies rather than think for themselves. They're told to let politicians think for them. Once people reject all political ideology and think for themselves and clear all politicians out of government then things will get a lot better.

It's useful to read some libertarian or classic laissez-faire literature to have a good understanding of economics, like Hayek or Smith, respectively. However, like Hitler said, one should not be just influenced by a single economic ideal, but rather do what's more beneficial for your people.

Also Molyneux is pretty good if you want objective, empiric data; in most of the cases.
