How do maoists exist?

how do maoists exist?

I see literally no appeal in this man or his ideology

t. stalin

I don't agree with Stalin's violence, but he at least had a pretty coherent ideology that followed the Leninist tradition. Had the threat of Nuclear War not existed, it seems pretty likely that Stalin or his successors would have furthered the communist process by collectivizing not only farms, but also factories and urban communities.

What was Mao even doing, with all his desires of "consuming capitalism" and turning peasants into a "spiritual revolutionary class"? No wonder it devolved into capitalism so easily.

Ask Jason the Cuck.

I've actually been wondering the same thing.

Don't know, I think people just chuck it on the end of Marxist-Leninist to cover all bases

Yes, culture dominates economics people :^)

Maoism is an attempt at theorizing how a semi-feudal semi-colonial state can transition through all the required stages to communism.

The Cultural Revolution was a huge success. There was genuine working class direct action in denouncing lots and lots of reactionaries like Deng Xiaoping, who got expelled from all parts of the party and the state apparatus. If not for the Cultural Revolution these elements would have consolidated power even sooner.

Claimed no Marxist ever.
Hint: Your vulgar deterministic understanding of historical materialism is not how it works.

...

It's a bit more nuanced than that, the CR worked, but it worked too well, the proletarians and peasants got awakened and mobilized like ever before in history, but this slowed down production, this ironically gave more arguments to the right of the party, who maintained the priority at the time was developing the means of production and who insisted the CR was a mistake.

The tragedy is that the debate over what cat is better at catching mice is over, capitalism won here, there's plenty of mice already but no talk of the next step on building socialism, the CPC is all like "we totally know what we're doing guys we'll build socialism but give us like 100 years lmao"

This leads me to something I've been meaning to ask Holla Forums though, all this talk of revisionists isn't a form of idealism? Like if we accept there are no great men in history, how do we explain capitalist restoration without recurring to the explanation "Deng/Khrushchev/the bogeymam betrayed the revolution" when that is in no way a materialist explanation?

The problem with these dictatorial "socialist" states is they only remain "socialist" as long as the party leader remains friendly to socialism.

Calling yourself a 'Maoist' as a first world leftist is perhaps the edgiest thing you could do.

...

I dont know I have never read the little red book.

Third Worldism is an American meme. Maoism barely has anything to dow ith it.

The only thing Mao "the Backyard Steel Factory" Zedong did right was admit he was wrong on most things he did
Maoists thus live in a state of denial 24/7

Wait, Mao "KILL THE SPARROWS, CROP WAR NOW" Zedong admitted he was wrong about anything?

Tried looking for the source but it turns out I remembered wrong
So no, Mao did literally everything wrong :^(

UPHOLD HIS LEGACY, YOU REVISIONIST SCUM

holy shit you're deluded

Except he took over the state not long after Mao's death. The only thing the CR did (beyond send bright kids to bumfuck villages and laud barefoot doctors) was radicalize what were very moderate reformers like Deng and Lin Biao.
