I do go into town to go shopping occasionally or for business reasons, but avoid downtowns as much as possible even then Believe it or not, you might enjoy some of the hippie scene, the deadheads are usually cool and the oldfags who run the rainbow family are mostly vets and countryboys, and commie can just be laughed off.

Really depend on where you live since all the mountains in and around the state creates a lot of different local climates. If you want true winter and 0 shitskins, I'd go east to Montana/North Dakota. Washington is more of a compromise.

It's cold and snowy. You shovel the snow every day and bundle up when you go outside. The snow makes everything beautiful. Warm drinks by a fireplace or sitting on your porch are excellent. The snow looks incredible with a starry night sky. People get more serious in winter months.

Somewhat on topic, I had a nice long chat with a pinko newagey type guy. I started preaching National Socialism, but he didn't recognize the name because people only think of the word "Nazi". I explained how my socialism was not about abolition of private property or redistribution of wealth, but building a political position off of Nature. I asked him to look at the nation as a household, and the people as a family. He agreed with me on everything, even that a family is bound by blood, and from that blood comes a set of ideals. He believed that blood memory exists.
They are surprisingly open to this stuff, they've just been programmed with a few triggers that set them off. For example, I started tripping one of them towards the end when I suggested that a military dictatorship was not a bad government if the people wanted and liked that government. He couldn't accept the fact that a military-controlled state could in any way be good beyond an initial period of securing borders during a time of crisis. He couldn't wrap his head around a military dictatorship NOT continuously warring, as if their natural state is to go to war and build war machines.
He eventually got angry with me and asked me to leave.

Yeah, most conversations I have with people regarding NS go reasonably well, as long as I take time to explain things, and don't refer to myself as a "nazi." I have a couple of concerns about the NWF in its current state that deter me from going:
1. HAC has a thing against lawyers. Quite literally the only career field open to me at this point is law.
2. The Force 101 meme. Not everyone is born a perfect 1488er, and not everyone is lucky enough to be born in a white majority area. Sometimes people get desperate, sometimes people settle. Their past actions, should they repudiate them and not repeat them, should not be grounds for execution.
