I did a precursory search through Google Scholar to see if any academic articles relate to this. I couldn't find any good data. There's a lot of articles coming up with sounds-good-feels-good reasons why women *might* be better workers and CEO's, but no hard data. That seems to be all you can find.

That means we will need to pull the data ourselves. This is all publicly available. Find the data a CEO was appointed and the date they finished. List stock prices at both points. Also list highest price point and lowest price point during that tenure, as well as average price. Next, list demographic data, e.g. male/female, white/Jew/black, etc. From there it's a simple matter of correlation. This could be done in an excel spreadsheet. For a list of companies, you could simply start with the Fortune 500.

I hope there are some academic anons here that could do something with this. One way or another this data could be compiled into a killer sociology paper of some kind, if anons can find the proper frame so this information can get out.

Society hardly realizes how much power it gives to media simply by giving it attention. In fact, my studies on media theory and the related sociology actually lead me to believe that most people are straight up hardcore addicts. Paul Lazarsfeld called it "narcotizing dysfunction."
