I've read Providence; Moore's portrayal of Lovecraft in it is, if anything, extremely sympathetic. He comes across as an intelligent, pleasant and friendly guy with some weird quirks (those he was known to really have), whose much-vaunted racism is much more a product of his time than any actual malice.

Other than the edgy ass pounding faggotry the only thing I can see wrong with the story as a whole is that Alan did what he wanted with the mythos instead of just recreating it. Yes actually I did. Funny story, Lovecraft experience a "journey to Holla Forums" 90 years before Holla Forums existed.
If you read his letters he originally considered Jews to be Alpines(whites such as the northern Italians and central Europeans). He also considered the number of jews who got public recognition for working science of philosophy to be indicative of racial merit rather than nepotism and the kikes controlling the media and academic institutions which granted awards even back then. Lovecraft married jew he felt was "splendidly integrated", that is to say one which was passing for goy and pretending to be adopt the anglo-saxxon culture he esteemed. Then she relocated with in to Jew York City. He was horrified by her circle of friends and though he became more amiable toward certain groups like the Irish and Italians he began to hate Levantines(ie shitskins) and other non-whites after gaining personal experience with them. In fact today we see those who have personal experience with others races are in fact more racist(or race realist) than liberal whites so segregate themselves into their gated communities and never interact with niggers or spics. If anything Lovecraft posits that in the fictional setting humans should be more insular and actively suppress these truths so as to survive. The Case of Charles Dexter Ward being an example of this.

In fact, he goes on at length in numerous stories painstakingly describing everything and explaining what's out there and exactly why it's fucking terrifying to realize you coexist in an uncaring universe with beings so repulsive and awful that simply being in their presence is enough to unhinge your mind, because it comes with the understanding that you are an inferior, meaningless being who does not live in a world made by a loving God, but in a world ruled by entities that magnify the very worst aspects of humanity.
