This is not entirely true; superior technology is necessary but not sufficient for victory. We had the better tech in Vietnam, yet we got rekt by geography and internal squabbling. The Germans had better weaponry for the first half of WWI, but fighting on two fronts at once stretched them too thin for too long —and as soon as the British came up with tanks the Germans were done for.

I am a stereotypical STEM faggot and I dont want to downplay importance of everything else, but it's just that science and technology plays a very big part that we can influence.

Let's say that there is this thing, let's call it a "Grand total ultimate victory" or whatever, just indulge me for a moment. This could be colonizing the stars, curing death itself, exploring the universe, time travel (physically possible, I am a physics student btw), and so on. Well, lets put this thing into an equation form. Equations are useful because the universe on our scale is fundamentally predictive, meaning we can predict the future using equations such as laws of thermodynamics to predict temperatures, of kinematics and dynamics to predict movement, gravity and electromagnetism to predict this and that and so on.

Now this would be huge, messy, hard to grasp equation, lets call it a "grand equation".
Grand equation would have all sorts of variables and unknowns and use all kinds of higher mathematics and properties and rules.
Some of these would be geography, genetics, resources, politics, economy, intellect, strength, values, religions, worldviews, and all these variables would interact with one another.
This is where technology kicks in. Technology would be the biggest, most important, most influential variable we can influence. Have fun trying to change geography or genetics, and have fun trying to land a six digits job with an art degree (not impossible, but very unlikely). Changing the technology variable would have the greatest impact on the equation and it would cost the least. It would be the most effective and practical thing to do.

So basically, if the goal is achieving a biologically immortal space faring white ethno-state, the most practical way to go about this would be by focusing on technology. Now, technology isnt the only variable, and other things would require attention as well. But technology would definitely be a primary concern.
Because it dominates diplomacy and politics (people listen to other people because of missiles, not "people skills"), it dominates global markets (look up the most profitable businesses, all tech), it dominates culture (how many teenagers visit museum, and how many visit social media bullshits), and so on.
Trough rigorous training of trying to understand higher mathematics and the natural world, one develops higher analytical skills. and in this universe of ours, one that poses highest analytical skills can achieve anything. Sure again there are other factors and variables at play, but the most rewarding and effective thing to do, is technology.

I honestly appreciate technology, but people are not machines, so you can't learn anything about them by learning about machines. You'd be better off with biology and related fields, but even then you'd have to learn how to translate that knowledge into everyday life, and then see how simple human behaviour manifests itself through history.

Learning about people is simply not as relevant or important as learning about science and technology. I mean it all depends on what kind of goals do you have, what do you want, but generally speaking you'd get much more out of knowing machines then knowing people.
