I'm also an Eagle Scout and would like to point out that you're incorrect. Scouts allows all major religions, even jews. You're just not allowed to be atheist. In 2004 the (((ACLU))) sued the Scouts to take away their government chartered status over discrimination against new members who did not want to be sworn in using a religious oath.

As long as you join a troop with a chill Scoutmaster the decisions at the top of the system rarely have much impact on you. As said, people should direct their attention to their local council if you want to change things.
