Pretty based from what ive heard. Sadly most commies in japan seems to be old people or young liberals who are sick of the proto fascist capitalists in japan. The JCP is probably one of the only first world communist parties with any actual relevance, but they can easily be bought off with reforms.
Its not exactly a hard thing to be the "good guys" if youre opposing the current nazi party in power in japan
