Interesting.

more socdem shit

Poor Venezuela.

Tell me, is it just a victim of the conflict between USA and Russia? I don't really understand the troubles they've been having. Is it just because of oil prices?

Just kick out the porky's already, venezuela. Go full state capitalism if you have to.

Mainly yes, they relied super fucking heavily on oil.

The economy actually started shitting itself in late 2012, when Chávez was in bad health and Maduro took over, before the oil crash. So that's not the only problem.

Retards.

Venezuela is on famine right now because goverment subsided all business that were producing goods, including all the industries producing wheat, rice and all sorts of shit. It has nothing to do with oil prices dropping.

Inflation is also caused by the sudden decrees of wage increases, this devaluates the coin even more in the market and makes things cost way more than what the wage is supposed to fix.

Did he hand over the means of production yet…?

Venezuelan Proletarian here.

N-no he hasn't… should we b-be worried g-guys?

holy shit their government is economically illiterate.

they seem like they think you can just print more money and solve all your problems.

Should leftists support venezuela at this point?

I really don't think so.

Can you elaborate? Because plenty of capitalist countries subsidize their agriculture and it only results in an increase in production of that specific crop being subsidized. Like cows in the EU get $2.20 a day in government subsidies, and I don't see any shortages of cows in the EU… I'm wondering why the situation would be different in Venezuela? Do their subsidies work differently?

No darling, they just don't give a fuck. They are just making themselves rich, it's literally all they care about.

*Nobody* is this dumb, they're doing it on purpose.

You know what economic warfare is? Most of the reason this is happening is due to the rich waging war against Chavez/Maduro.
Food is being left to rot because they want to see Maduro out.

I think it was price fixing leading to people smuggling food to other countries for profit

Food is being left to rot because they want to see Maduro out.

When can we expect Maduro to be ousted and his replacement welcomed with open arms by the USA as he immediately implements neoliberal 'reforms' and prostrates the country before our corporate overlords?

Never.

The problem of them subsiding the industries is that afterwards they never invested anything into them, they literally trew people out into the streets and then tore down the buildings they used to work in because they were part of the 'evil capitalistic empire' (i'm not exagerrating here, that's one of the speeches Chavez gave when he subsided a fishing business in Zulia).

There's a difference in wanting to redistribute wealth for the betterment of the people and literally moneygrubbing to the point an entire country is left in an irreparable famine.

There is no 'economic warfare', nor 'acaparadores' or any other goddamn buzzword they come up with for the cause of this shit. It's simply them destroying the economy and blaming it on USA and CIA while taking trips to Cuba on 200k private jets. The inflation problem is as said, price fixing also made the few companies that weren't subsided to simply shut down because the goverment would force them to sell products at prices so low they would end up losing 150% renevue per each sale.

This wasn't even started by Maduro, this was on the horizon just back then at 2006 when Chavez tore down Polar Industries (literally 30% of Venezuela's GDP was exportation of products Polar made, like wheat). The oil crash wouldn't even have been that jarring if it wasn't for the lack of food production in this country.

Man he's one upping Chavez at every turn. Hes like a reverse Khrushchev. How can one leader be so based? Puts every other "leftist" "progressive" and "communist" leader to shame.

Power to Maduro and socialism in Venezuela.

amazing post man

Caracas.- Elias Jaua (deputy in the National Assembly from the United Socialist party of Venezuela/PSUV) affirmed this Sunday that the government isn't afraid of the recall referendum against the president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro.

“We don't want a recall referendum because we're defenders of the fight to govern that this popular current, democratically elected in legitimate and transparent processes, has. The government aims to finish the constitutional period that it started. We're defending what we believe in", said Jaua during an interview in the TV program “Diálogo con… Carlos Croes”.

Furthermore, the parliamentarian affirmed that the opposition delayed the referendum process by not requesting it in January 10th this year, when the first half of the presidential period finished, due to its internal contradictions and poor leadership. “It's impossible for the referendum to occur this year. The opposition coalition must assume its responsibility before its voters without blaming the Government or the Electoral Power (CNE)”, he said.

In that sense, Jaua asked people to respect the Public Powers in Venezuela due to the fact that they possess “institutional competencies and are the guarantee of stability of the Republic”, and added that the decision of the collegiate bodies cannot be disregarded.

Similarly, he stressed that the officialism has always accepted electoral results and the Public Powers' sentences. “We have lost elections and we acknowledge it”, he expressed.

Likewise, he considered the fact that the referendum won't occur this year as “positive”, as it would let the president govern and finish his constitutional period, and focus on “obtaining revenue, developing the mining arc and mixed enterprises”, in addition, “keep fighting for the oil prices' stability and treating the external debt” during those six months to provide “stability” to the population.

Moreover, he repeated that Nicolás Maduro won't resign because he will defend “this democratic popular current”'s ability to rule the country.

He also guaranteed that the PSUV is stronger than ever and Chavismo is a force that works in the same strategic project to protect the Venezuelan people, and that the Venezuelan citizens have asked for political dialogue to solve their problems, while the opposition has “ignored” the discussion.

“President Nicolás Maduro has called for dialogue in many opportunities, but opposition has just mocked the opinion of the majority of the Venezuelan people” said Jaua.

- Economic crisis -

In regard to the country's critical situation, Jaua has pointed out that the private sector has most of the weight on the national economy.

“It's time for private industries to give a response to the Venezuelan people”, Jaua stated, and in turn, he suggested that the private sector should “break” its logic that it can only obtain profit with speculative prices. “A big part of businessmen have not invested to increase their production, they place ceilings to keep speculating and to obtain an illegitimate gain”, he added.

He also emphasized that the government has always supported the private sector by assigning subsidized dollars, providing funds to public banks and subsidies to goods, services, and companies' technological infrastructure.

“Most of the weight of the economy is on the private sector. The Venezuelan people want to get out of this situation, but without going back to the neoliberal model and to the privatization of the national assets”, expressed Jaua.

- Lack of security -

About the levels of insecurity that are raised every day in the country, Jaua informed that the government “is working hard” to dismantle criminal bands responsible of homicides.

Finally, Jaua confirmed that Nicolás Maduro has ordered the Interior, Justice and Peace Minister, Néstor Reverol, to execute an Operation of People's Liberation, similar to the one performed in Cota 905, on regions that register high levels of criminality in the country

no, stop listening to populists that have lied a trillion times before.

They already are state capitalist

What are keynesians?

That was more tongue-in-cheek.

the fuck

...

I've seen a ridiculous amount of news like this posted on this country's newspapers. Hell, not even photos.

how's that cyberpunk dating sim going ?

where can I find this?

It's the oil prices, it happens in Venezuela every time the price drops. Basically they don't grow their own food much because they can use oil money to buy it from other countries, which is much easier than growing it on their own. However when the oil price is low they can't afford as much and the store shelves go empty, you'd think they would have learned their lesson by now but Capitalism is like that.

it's a bar game which provides some great waifus

Both the victim and the perpetrator are underage here, so it's 100% normal that they know that it happened but don't have much info about it. If someone involved is under 18 and alive, he can't be named.

More info: A 15/16 year old teenager told a 5 year old kid that he'd get an arepa with cheese if he agreed to have sex, and he did. The 5 year old returned home with blood stained pants and told his grandma about what happened (no idea who told the news sites about it), and then they reported it to the police. The teenager has since been detained.
