Themed Storytime

A while back I promised I'd come around every week to do a themed storytime.
That didn't pan out so well due to shit I've had to sort out, so now it'll be a "when I have time, trying once per week but definitely once per fortnight except when it's not" storytime.

Anyway, this thread's theme shall be horror. But not just any horror, we're going for
Cosmic Horror

Now, I've read every single one of H P's works, but I'm sure many of you guys haven't.
Have no fear, as I've got a special treat for everyone so we can catch up.

==H P Lovecraft's The Call of Cthulu== For Beginner Readers
I never knew this existed, and was so excited when I saw it, so naturally I must share it around.

Huh, always thought redtext worked so long as it was at the start of a newline.

The accuracy to Dr Seuss' work at times is quite astounding.

There's two versions of this book.
One is much simpler in terms of writing, but I prefer the art of this version.

And there we go.
Now we all understand Lovecraft's most popular piece of writing.

I wish more books were made into children's books, it'd be much easier for my childish mind to read Paradise Lost with pictures of demonic Cat in the Hats.

Cthulu Tales
A shame the vast majority of content is Cthulu based, but it's still fun.

More kiddish horror. Is it growing on you like it is me?

And that's the end of BOOM!'s first Lovecraft anthology. Never really worked out why this was so popular as the only story I liked was the young child wearing the mask with the Yellow Sign on it.
Time for something with some nicer art.

Off to cook some food.
I may or may not fall asleep due to exhaustion, so I'll either post more in an hour or in several.

Thanks for the storytime, user.

I can't believe I missed this thread. Thanks for the storytime OP.

Nice bit of imagery with the blend of hair and negative space to create the tentacles.

Read up to the temple, and the comics have been pretty good so far, thanks OP.
