I don't think post-scarcity economy is going to completely lose a monetary market because there will always be some inherently scarce goods like beachfront property, original works of art, and human services (like prostitution itself). You could also have an economy where people do things to get some kind of formally-recognized status rather than money to buy other things, like the future equivalent of facebook likes (Cory Doctorow's "Down and Out in the Magic Kingdom" imagined a post-scarcity economy sort of like this).
