Targaryens are the Plantagenets, Lancasters yes, I know the Lancasters were Plantagenets but you know what I mean and Tudors. Starks are mostly inspired by the Yorks. "Aegon VI" is Perkin Warbeck/Lambert Simnel.

Dorne seems to be culturally Spanish (although it seems like 18th century Spain which is a little bizarre), but its political situation seems more reminiscent of the struggle to hold the Angevin Empire together, crossed with how Wales was brought into English control.
