What is it? How does it work? How would it sustain itself?
Bonus Question: How does it differ from Libertarianism?

Right-wing libertarianism allows private property and privately owned business
Left wing libertarianism (anarchism, as I understand) does not.
How would an ancom society function in terms of crime and national defense? Historically, national defense at least has been a serious problem for anarchist society (Free Territory & Catalonia)
Oh, you mean neo-feudalism?
Sure why not. So what stops somebody in an anarchist society hiring some hired goons to protect {{{his}}} property in his absence?
Anarchism and Libertarianism are synonyms, the latter being a less "aggressive" term to entice normies.
There are many different currents in Anarchism, but all tend to work from a bottom up organization. Workers control their workplace, policing would be done by the community, etc.
There'd be nothing to stop those goons from just taking that guys property, why would they work for him in order to get it when all they would have to do is tell him it isn't his anymore?
Not true.
Is it really any wonder Catalonia fell faces the combined forces of the USSR, Nazi Germany, Fascist Italy AND Franco's forces?
Catalonia is a testament to how well horizontally organised military can last so long against such huge odds.
Just like tiny little modern day Rojava fighting Turkey AND Isis at the same time.
The militia in place defending the commons
Catalonia's defenses were pretty good, there were making good headway against Franco until internal issues within the Republic led to its collapse (thanks tankies).
Makhno did pretty well too considering it was just a crappy corner of Ukraine, the Whites barely controlled it when they took over, their downfall was allying with the Reds (who said they were going to let them be at first).
Rojava is kicking ass at the moment, the 2nd biggest ISIS controlled city will go down completely any second now (granted with a good amount of US air support).
There's nothing feudalist about """""""""Libertarians"""""""""". They are Capitalist. Feudalists don't believe in private property. Nor is Feudalism a bad word, it was the prevailing system in Europe for over 1000 years, its far from my ideal system but its pluses and minuses vis a vis Capitalism is debatable.
Thoughts on Albert Camus' "The Rebel" ?
hypothetically, private property is electronic circuitry workshop and goons can't into maths.
...
One man's milita = another man's terrorists?
Is their sole purpose to protect the commons? What motivates them?
Actually the land was believed to be God's property (to put a modern spin on it, "property" wasn't spoken of much), the King was chosen by God to administer it. The King could not sell his Kingdom, nor buy another one (to get another one he had to conquer it, proving God wanted him to have it), it had little relationship to our concept of private property.
And no, corporations aren't the CEO's private property (though they usually have a big chunk because of stock options and such). Corporations are the property of the shareholders.
They are protecting their own community
Fucking stop replying to these low-effort threads god damn.

A static page written by one author and controlled by one person does not appeal to me. A faq like this thread is also a discussion about the faq.
