I think this makes sense. that's why you see german, scandinavian etc cultural centers in N America, and nobody gets in a fit about it. Black pride existed initially because african americans with a slave heritage have lost their connection to their original cultural roots, so the new culture is not "somali-american, kenyan-american" and so on, but "ex-slave-american". That being as it is, it makes no sense for whites to have a blanket identity, nor so for african immigrants or black south americans.
