I saw this in theaters as a kid with a friend and his mom. I loved Jim Carry at the time.. but hated wasting my time on this movie.
As an adult I watched it 2 or 3 times and recognized it for the undeniable classic it is. This is one of Jim's best movies, top 5 if not top 3. I wasn't aware of any "underrated classic you must watch" meme regarding this movie, but if there is such a meme I am here to affirm its truthfulness. Absolute classic of the 90s that will stand the test of time.
