And I had been there so long I wanted to "go down with the ship" don't mention it, I know it was retarded; in fact, I was a retard, because my brain was essentially numb, and it sure didn't help that I was surrounded by what basically 8/pol/ is now, as stupidity IS contagious. After a few months on Holla Forums, it essentially became (as all the users left for greener pastures) an edgy club of underageb& and/or idiots who acted like teenagers jerking off to news, roleplaying games and other stuff (also, remember that at this point the flags were like /int/ in that they were based on location and not by choice). By now I had been fixing myself up, after having watched Adolf Hitler: The Greatest Story NEVER Told! when some Germanon made a thread about it a bit after Holla Forums Harbor.

Anyway, after a few months I hear about how he keeps shilling his comics everywhere, and then him getting upset when people told him to fuck off, and I think he was brought up to attention because apparently he tried taking credit for memes (whether he did create it or not, he's such a smug, arrogant twat about it, and not at all Christian as he claims himself to be, unless he changed that for Kekism or something). He was also banned from several places, including his blog or tumblr or whatever. Interestingly enough, I had practically forgotten about him when he had been beaten by his "comrades".
Then almost exactly a year later, on the Dumbing of Age threads of Holla Forums. Val is a French cunt who began to shit on Anglos in on of the DoA threads, and I just filtered him. Eventually I got tired of the DoA threads, for whatever reason (probably because there wasn't as much traffic anymore, I don't remember). I don't hate him because I know he's going to hell when he dies, and I actually forgave him. Then about a month later when I had forgotten about him, the pedophile allegations come up. I think there's still a thread of him on /cow/, but the Holla Forums vols defended his pedophilia.

But she's not blameless. She refuses on principle to be the sort of person who might actually be able to achieve her goals. She can see how Roz wins people over but has no tactic to counter that, or beat her at her own game, cause that would be beneath her. The tension between idealism and pragmatism, between being yourself and being who you need to be to get what you want… these are indeed interesting themes. The problem is that Willis has an obvious opinion on what choice a character should make, to the point of forcing the outcome.

I mean, look at Robin. Ignoring her stupid goofy gag-machine personality, there could be an interesting story there about how far a person should hide their real self to achieve success. I would happily read about Robin the Republican senator who genuinely believes in family-values conservatism and wants to fight for it, with the inconvenient fact of being lesbian eating her up inside. There should be strong factors pulling her both ways - her sister and Leslie are on one side, but maybe she's got people looking up to her and investing in her as a great hope for her party, and her community is a run-down shithole that desperately needs her voice in government. Then revealing her secret isn't some trivial thing, it's potentially putting people who knows and cares about at risk, and badly damaging a cause she believes in. I mean, that's interesting, isn't it? That's a person in conflict, unable to both be their true self and achieve their goals in life. Is it right to sacrifice your chances at love for the sake of your political ideals, or should you abandon that fight so you can achieve personal happiness? A bona fide moral dilemma and a fundamental question about how we ought to live.

But we can't get that story because Robin's been written as an idiot womanchild who just says whatever to get elected, doesn't care about other people and is in denial about her sexuality - because that's what all Republicans are like in Willisverse. So now there's no dilemma at all, just a choice between selfishness and love. Robin hates her senator job, there's nothing keeping her there but greed and vanity. It's just a waiting game at this point until she catches up with the author's point of view, and it's such a stupid feckless waste of a plotline. Just… fuck this webcomic.

Willis wasted everyone time with a plotline during that time with Dorothy and Roz setting up an election for the position of RA (That is not how it works Willis) but that was droppex when Ruth returned. Ruth was given her position because her grandfather (Sir Clint is the nickname he has but in the comic bis name is just Clint something) showed up a few days and guess what bitches? He is yet ANOTHER adult written to be abusive, he managed to convince Puddinghead (I don't know her name) through the money he gives the university to give back Ruth her job despite her protest because her having the position or her education is an "investment". T
After leaving Puddinghead office he grabbed Ruth by the arms i think and basically told her she reminded him of her dad and that he hated him for taking his daughter from him and that she better not turn like her dad, a failure outside of University.
Billie showed up and punched Sir Clint in the arm but she is no Joyce so it had no effect, we get introduced to Howard who is Ruth brother and either autistic or maybe seriously mentally damaged or not (Willis is so bad at writing) and most of his dialog is referring to Game of Thrones and watching it on Campus. Billie interrogated him to see if Sir Clint is abusive but either Howard doesn't realize it or Sir Clint is not abusive and in the present strip Billie is manipulating Ruth into believing the reason Howard was brought to university is to manipulating Ruth to keep her head down.
