Not slav myself, but grew up in a neighborhood surrounded by them. Many were life long family friends with my parents (sadly most are deceased now). They were/are the hardest working, most traditionally valued people I have ever met. None let their daughters act like sluts or be degenerate, all learned to cook and take care of their husbands and family and actually LIKED being in a traditional role. Problem with Greece' woodlands is that since antiquity they were extremely prone to forest fires and overgrazing so you rarely see centuries old undisturbed forests anymore.
