Anyone having a hard time thinking of themselves as socialist? I mean, I'm convinced logically, but I can't take the final plunge and get out of the closet, join a socialist organization, and start agitating.
At first I thought it was because I was uneducated, but I have been self educating for like a year, and my confidence hasn't gone up at all
Lincoln Johnson
It's always the nutters that you think will make you look bad.
Join a more moderate organization.
Jordan Gonzalez
I feel like it is so difficult to get out of the moderate position and actually take a strong stance on something. Every fiber in my being tells me not to.
I mean, I'll critique capitalism and neoliberalism till the cows come home, but if someone says "so you're a socialist" I'll deny it to hell and back.
It feels much better to be in this position where I can critique everything while not being obligated to take a strong stance on anything
Aaron Powell
Bump, help me get out of this deadlock
Nathaniel Perez
It was a lot easier for me to come out of the closet as a socialist then it was for being gay. Don't have too much sympathy for you, tbh
Kayden Hughes
Just talk to coworkers about things. It really helps.
Liam Lee
Literally no idea why you are so bothered about this, even if you are Amerifat if B████ ██████ can claim to be a socialist whilst running to be Democratic nominee what the fuck have you got to worry about?
Ditto except I'm bi, referring to this as 'coming out' is just fucking retarded
Christopher Cooper
This, except I'm bi. 'Coming out' as a socialist… plz
Easton James
I'm not charismatic enough to be of any use to an orginization, instead I focus on indoctrinating my left leaning friends who are charismatic.
My friend who is a teacher is teetering on the edge of full communism and I give him little shoves every time we talk. He will be my mouthpiece to the children.
Connor Watson
i feel you man, i myself would consider more like a democratic socialist honestly sometimes i feel like i should be more radical but i don't think it's the right way

It looks like you have spotlight syndrome, stop caring what others think about you, and start joining a movement that reflects your ideals and goals. No revolution was won through silent opposition.
Kevin Martinez
I spent so much time antagonizing against them, that to join them would feel like a self betrayal of some sorts. However that's not entirely it, I don't find myself completely and clearly adhering to a particular ideology and specially not to any methodology.
I think I can be described as pragmatical agonist.
Hudson Nguyen
Not really. I'm constantly talking about leftism with anyone who will listen or at least tolerate it.

You do need to push though.
Just don't be a censor pushing commie fucktard.
Liberty is key.
Carter Gonzalez
Fuck you.

yep, typical socialist retard right here
Noah Howard
They certainly have the right to speak.
I see no issue with that.
But as soon as they repress others rights, through physical action, it becomes a problem. Oh and not just physical action, intangible action as well.
They can believe in whatever they want until they deprive someone else of their liberty.
That's physically, that's finiancially, that's even legally (which I guess is a bit legally fictional).
The problem is, when one is stronger than the other, the weak get trod on. There has to be policy that promotes the weak without compromising the strong.
it may be needed to suggest 'goals' to companies and let them do the work themselves, but when you force them to do that - that crosses a line . And another thing, before liberty is obtained, there may need to be short term authority.
I believe in both the left and the right, infact I think we should flexible interchange between them when needed. It's happened in the past, but has never quite been a fundamental goal or tool.
To think one policy is going to continue infallibly is wrong.
That's why I don't understand why people choose left or right. You should choose whatever is required on the circumstances of the nation you live in.
Left/Right is a stupid meme in practicality. Because a nation needs to be more flexible than that.
Ayden Adams
If someone believes innocents or I must die and there is no way of convincing them otherwise, I have no means to respond but through violence.
If someone denies fact and their denial of fact will endanger myself or others, I have no means to respond but through violence.
Owen Reyes
Are you joking, compagno mio? these are the guys who believe Jews literally control everything, and shut down any discussion that doesn't fit their narrowly tailored framework with screams of "cuck! cUCK! CUcK! CUCK!!!"
Ian Bennett
Not really. 8/pol/ has mostly become a hivemind by now, in my case any remaining hope died once they sagebombed a fucking Nazbol thread.
Evan Perez
I'm gonna stop here. You're better off not knowing. That Clinton Foundation is an eye opener though. I honestly thought the days of kings was over. But now I know it's not over, it's inevitable
