Technically not exclusively for porn, but that is where it is most useful.

yes, I used it as an example of shit that does not fulfill my requirements.

Oops, didn't read about that. It's in a perpetual state of development, don't know where that puts it. Still usable without updates, but they are nice.

Not an argument. Literally every popular chat thing ever made has this "problem". Off the top of my head

MSN
Facebook
Kik
even fucking pictochat apparently (didnt watch yet because in public right now and dont want to be false positive marked as pedo, but im pretty sure these will support my point)

You seem to be one of those in the "ban internet communication because it causes pedo and terrorist" camp.

That said, your picture makes it look like Tox has human readable names, and therefore by Zooko's triangle, it's crap.

wait, do you claim that the other two ends of the Zooko's triangle also contribute to something being crap?

Human-readable names and this picture are an example of adding name system on top of existing Tox infrastructure. From Tox faq:
If you want a shorter and more memorable ID, you can use a service like ToxMe, that maps an email-address-style username to a Tox ID. However, an individual concerned about their security should avoid using these services where possible. Unfortunately, the cost of this convenient name-to-Tox ID mapping is a loss of decentralization. You must trust that the entity running the service is serving you (and others looking for you) accurate information. If you're not careful, you may be subject to MITM attacks.

You don't have to use it though, share a full public key fingerprint instead.

technology was a mistake

Not really. The way people use technology has no bearing in the opinions that people hold. The only thing that technology has done is make these opinions available to many people. It's our job to ignore them when we can.
