I'm a NEET but I have to rely on family support. The welfare allowance here is $305CAD/month + reimbursement for rent (up to $376/month). And you have to actively look for work while on welfare here (workfare). Disability allowance is $631/month + reimbursement for rent (up to $479/month).

Telling someone that they just need to "live within your means" on that kind of money is an insult. Especially the welfare allowance. And that's if you even qualify for disability or welfare. I don't. Too much savings. And I might not be disabled enough to be considered disabled. Lots of people with mental illnesses get disability. I have autism and depression. But I may not be impaired enough to qualify.

This touches on something semi-related I've been thinking about recently. A common argument from open borders libtards is 'If you can't compete with Jose you're a retard'. When it is pointed out that Jose will work illegally for under minimum wage, the next line is 'You were born in the west, you should have a degree and high skilled job'. The negative experience can start in school, with the trouble of fitting in, being excluded, having no friend, having depression.

Bad experience is caused by bad mental condition, anxieties, depressions. And these bad experiences worsen the mental condition.

A dialectical downward spiral. That much is obvious. It can progress so bad that the NEETs don't want to work not because they despise the work, but because their retreat into their rooms shields them from the most acute anxiety and depression.

Who would say no to building houses, who would say no to designing electronic circuits, who would say no to working in agriculture, who would say no to be a train driver. Who would say no to any meaningful labour that benefits the society?

When you analyze the current job situation, the socially beneficial employments are looked down up on. Who wants to be a garbage man, a factory worker, a farmer. On the other hand a legion of business analysts, marketing analysts, advertising advisors, lawyers, businessmen, office workers and other paper pushers. How come they have higher wages than the garbage men?

And the paper pushers hate the pointlessness of their jobs. One should pity their middle class purgatory. But the only purpose of the purgatory is to purify the soul, so we should hope that one of them grabs a book that is not some reactionary drivel.

I quoted statistics in Ontario (Canadian province). But Ontario is not much different from Blue State America. The labour force participation rate in the US is even lower than Canada overall. So I bet the stats are even worse in America. I am not familiar with the US labour force survey. But I bet you'd be surprised if you looked at the employment rate of young males. 16-19 and to a certain extent 20-24 is going to have an artificially low employment rate because young adults are often in school.

I chose 30-34 or even 25-29 as my reference point for how fucked we are. 35-39 men have the best employment rate in Ontario because they are in their career prime. Men 40+ start getting laid off or stop working due to health reasons sometimes and taper off career-wise. So it's actually a myth that employment rates are the best for baby boomers AT PRESENT (not the golden years in the 60s-70s) since a lot of them are getting laid off too after 40. Or having to quit due to health reasons.

That all said, adult children living at home is a bigger phenomenon where I live than in the United States. Because Canada has a lot of immigration from tight-knit communities. My parents are Mediterranean. It's not unusual for a man my age to live at home in that culture. But it's unusual for us to not work. My dad is concerned about my future. I tell him that the system is rigged.

I do have a small business on the side (no employees, just me. Self-employed) and I made only about $365CAD profit in like 7 weeks. That's not enough for me to live on. I can't even pay my own bills with that income. My car insurance is almost $150/month. Let alone pay rent and the full grocery bill. I have no choice but to live at home. If I didn't have savings I'd be screwed.

And my business requires that I constantly re-invest my profits. Not spend it. Everything I made, I re-invested back into my business and then some.

I work from home from my basement "home office", live a NEET hikikomori lifestyle.

So I guess I'm not fully NEET but I don't work a full schedule (I constantly find myself adjusting my prices, looking at competitor prices and candlestick charts though. Sometimes I find that my mind has been preoccupied with my business all day only to find that I barely made anything.) And I dont make much money.

Even if running my own business is stressful, I much prefer it to wage cucking. I just wish the pay was better and wish it wasn't so risky. There is too much saturation of self-employed persons who work from home and not enough demand from consumers because they don't make shit from their wage cuck jobs.

Maybe the solution to this is for non-wage cucks to network together and form communities so they can exchange goods with each other, perhaps at lower prices? There's probably some legal barrier to this, though.

Auto insurance accounts for a big chunk of my personal expenses. Dentist visits are expensive too. These things can't be provided for by a community.

Auto maintenance for my car is something someone with good mechanic skills can do for me. Or I can learn the skill myself (its not an easy job though. There's a reason why mechanics are paid well. Id be afraid of messing up my car.) My car is still under warranty. So I still take it into my dealer. They rake me over the coals in price.

I have been cutting back on fast food (mostly pizza) and buying less junk food in order to save money. When I'm depressed I have the tendency to order a pizza (my favourite pizza is not cheap either. lol). Or go to the late night convenience store and buy chips, cookies, chocolate, ice cream, energy drinks, Coke Zero, etc. If alcohol excuse taxes weren't ridiculously high in Canada and the liquor store were open after 9-10, I'd turn to alcohol. lol.

I thought about buying weed as well. But I don't want to smoke it because my dad would flip. I thought about making pot brownies. But my dad would be so impressed that I was baking that he'd insist on trying a brownie. lol. And id seem like an asshole not to share. But I don't want him to know I'm getting marijuana to help with my anxiety/depression/insomnia/autism

I can't believe its already 5pm. Where did my time go? lol. I am very poor at time management. Every time I go to bed I feel like I didn't make good use of my time that day. That's partly why I stay up late and have insomnia. I fell asleep at 7am, woke up past 1pm, got out of bed close to 2pm. The past 3 hours have been a blur. Eat. Did some stuff related to my business. Shitposting. There are all these things I want to do (reading, looking at some political videos/podcasts on YouTube, learning how to code, learning how to play Poker since I'm getting desperate for figuring out ways to make money when the family life support is gone, etc.). But I find that a lot of time goes by very fast. Its like I'm slow. Not time efficient. That's why porky let me go pretty much. They didn't think I worked fast enough for them. Even the normies complained about the workload. But I had less ability to manage it than they did.

Here's a tip I picked up in college - set a timer to go off every 15 minutes or so and track what you are doing at the moment the timer goes off. At the end of the day, look over how you were spending your time and adjust accordingly.
