It's good. Knoxville actually has a pretty believable fighting style that mixes with his love for pain. Jackie is all around great.

It's a feel good Kung Fu movie, but there is a pretty cringey singing scene.

I imagine he'll be making movies till he dies, and I haven't seen that one yet. Is it any good. Last one I really liked from him was the picture in that post… which was a huge surprise seeing as when they throw a baby in a kung fu film it's normally a big red flag.

His 90s to early 2000 Hollywood nostalgia, his Hong Kong and Chinese movies are still better than his badly done Hollywood movies.

He really hated working with Hollywood when they always go pester him with annoying focus groups and always typecast him as that wacky funny Chinese kung fu guys, but his new movies, he has more creative control. He did have a lot of Blu-Ray re-releases of his old Hong Kong films with dual-language, think torrents are still up. He really tried his best, but that deal with Disney to make his daughter a star really killed him in the end when the Disney Curse struck her at the end.

He's being careful, right now he's been doing Archaeologist Kung-Fu Badass, Patriotic Average Joe, and he's done the Sage/Advisor role.

There's a deep sense of sadness that this is the best portrayal he's done up to date and Jaden Smith wasn't a complete fuck-up yet, even Jackie was embarrassed at what happened to the kid with him and Shia being washouts.

It was supposed to be "The Kung-Fu Kid", but it didn't rhyme or dance, or even resonated with the new and old audience, so they went with the hysteria of it being called "Karate Kid", heh, good times, a lot of butthurt Chinks and insulted Nips, but they really loved the Jackie-Jaden chemistry though.
