How to save coal

I found the solution to coal.

We need to get rid of the red tape.

scientificamerican.com/article/the-end-of-coal-burning-in-the-us/

The era of U.S. coal-fired electric power generation will effectively end as new federal regulations limiting carbon dioxide emissions from fossil plants take effect, a new analysis from Bloomberg Government concludes.

The report, from energy analyst Rob Barnett, posits that the new U.S. EPA rule, rolled out last month and open for public comment until June 12, will effectively ban the construction of new coal-fired power plants because the CO2 emission rates required of fossil plants are so strenuous that no conventional coal plant could meet them.

We also should also allow coal companies to use the cheap high sulfur coal that was banned decades ago.

I'm sure Trump knows more about this than you or any of us.

Yet the liberals accuse the republicans of killing green energy with red tape.

Get rid of the CO2 bullshit. Keep the regs about exhaust gas NOx and sulphur content. That means power stations need huge exhaust scrubbers but it also means clean air.

What is it then

or we could just go with MODERN nuclear reactors and be energy efficient, clean w/ no chance of meltdown

Coal is shit tbh. It's the reason you can't eat tuna anymore without getting mercury poisoning and brain damage. We need nuclear plants.

...

Would it provide more jobs than coal?

I for one would be glad to know that no American would ever burn coal again.

Clean coal. The US department of energy has quite a lot to say about this.

Who cares?

Fuck Coal
Go Nuclear

If the coal industry is only around for jobs, then we'll make sure the uranium miners use spoons. Then we'll have plenty of jobs.

But in all seriousness, many of these mountains that have coal also have uranium deposits. For example, in VA, there are tons of uranium in the Appalachians, but it would be very difficult to mine the uranium without destroying the rich wildlife there.

of all fuels, why coal? why not fossile gas? why not peat? why not biogas? i understand not wanting windmills and solar panels, those only work on small scale but fucking coal? why put people to work in a dirty mine ending up dying at 50 with lungs blacker than the stockholm mall when you could put them to work on biogas plants?

Pollution and global warming are a myth.

Pollution may be exaggerated, but not a myth. Especially as Americans, we take pride in our national parks and nature reserves. We must preserve our environment to the best of our ability, much like we would a historical landmark like an old church. That being said, there are far too many useless regulations that can be scraped entirely, and others that can be scaled back.

Global warming on the other hand is such a gross exaggeration full of misinformation and outdated science that it could be considered a myth. It's not man-made, and CO2 is the least of our concerns in terms of greenhouse gasses (methane, for example, is far worse).

Because you would turn coal country into a massive ghost town.

The Critics of coal wouldn't be caught dead in the states.

It's like the people who say that it's alright to automate most jobs because these supporters of automation think that they won't be impacted by the loss of tens of driving jobs.

Still hate the smear job done to nuclear power. It's obviously the next step to meet energy needs and the upgrade in available power would make getting off middle eastern oil much easier.

you do realize the reason we got rid of coal miners is because we now just blow up the moutains and hills the coal resides completely and plant sod over top, regulations arent an issue here

...

Those scrubbers are for NOx, Hg, and SO2.

Pretty much all airborne global mercury right now is from India and China. Our regulations can't do shit about that.

Methane oxidizes to CO2 over a 20 year timescale, producing stratospheric water in the process, after which it has a lifetime of 100 years or so. Radiative forcing is no joke.

...

Why should white people care how bad we pollute the Earth as we build the technologies required to fucking leave it?

How about we subsidize the use of coal in materials? It is already used in the production of carbon fiber, steel, and plastics. We may even be able to use it as a precursor for graphene, CNT, and buckyballs.

JEW DETECTED
YOU DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR HOMELAND YOU FILTHY KIKE, YOU ARE TRYING TO GET US TO DESTROY OURS, GET LOST KIKE.

I like that.

Literally nigger tier. Earth is the White man's garden.
Other races are like locusts, consuming with no respect for the consequences, while breeding like cockroaches. They destroy everything. Rainforests, fresh water supplies, rivers. The Yangtze, Yellow River, Congo, Ganges, Nile, even the Amazon are being reduced to open sewers.
Give the shitskins 100 years and Earth will be a wasteland. Give the White man a million and it would still be a garden.

China is builds two coal plants a week where the US hasn't built coal plants in decades. China Also doesn't have scrubbers like the US has. i.sli.mg/P97Jsh.jpg

Also Tuna is over fished & on the verge of extinction so the tuna are not that fully grown which means less mercury.

Fucking this

I live in Germany, and the bullshit against nuclear reactors here is sickening.
Since Merkel decided on a whim to get rid of nuclear power because of fucking Fukushima on the other side of the world, and the hardcore lobbying of "green" energy, the prices for energy have gone through the roof.

What's even worse, the german energy network is at the brink of collapse and can only be sustained by importing energy from other EU countries ( including nuclear power).

Basically Merkel and "Die Grünen" ( Green party - consisting of hippie and former eco terrorists ) want to get rid of all fossil and nuclear power in the coming years, which will push Germany back into the middle ages.

This is actually all part of a grand jewisch scheme, where wind and water power companies ( which coincidentally mostly belong to (((them))) ) get pushed with taxpayer money ( they introduced the "EEG Umlage" a special tax on energy), while simultaneously usnig part of the tax to subsidize the fossil power plants.

Of course, the loyal Lügenpresse helped to shape the public opinion away from the jewish schemes and to the "evil nuclear power must be abolished, goy!".

So are liberals suddenly hard core anti-coal because of trump?

Poo in the Loos need to get their shit together, they already lose like 70% of the power generated to bad wiring/electricty theft.

What we need is solar panel farms and Cold Fusion energy, fuck coal long term.

Short term, let em rip.

Liberals always promoted shitty solutions to kike manufactured kosher problems media is blasting into their minds. They really love solar panels, even if they do know very little about them in terms of practicality or cost of production once you do not factor in government subsidies. Any country running on solar power better hope that there are no feral niggers throwing stones at the panels, randoms stealing these panels or hail. God forbid night ever happens. It's going to be a disaster to build and an impossibility to upkeep. Just imagine all these underground batteries wired together to store all this power. Better hope there is no wiring fault or looters anywhere.

Greatest Ally probably don't want Germany being a turnkey nuclear power that can slap together a nuke in an emergency.

I'm talking about the sudden hate boner liberals have for coal energy.

They suddenly feel that they have to blanket ban coal use for some reason…

Drink your water from open air sources then. No city water, no well water, no bottled water.

...

burn the coal pay the toll fgt

The reason coal is faltering is because of Obama, but not for the reasons you think. It is his opening up of fracking that allowed cheap natural gas. If anyone declared a war on coal it was natural gas. There are land leases for coal no company would bid on.

You talk about high sulfur coal, but low sulfur coal mining regions are being hit hard too. When Obama closed up all those old power plants they were older ones that used high sulfur. Yet the low sulfur regions were still hit.

CEOs of coal companies have said in the past it isn't going anywhere for a few decades, but we already hit peak coal. Professors who research coal production, CEOs of coal companies, and other pro-coal experts don't believe Trump can fix coal, but all the voters in coal counties voted for him in the 75%+ range so let's see what he can do.

Western mining regions also have uranium in the same areas there is coal. Those same mining operations have been on the decline and some closed. It wasn't over environmental reasons, but economic.

Open pit mines are not causing black lung. The same open pit mine regions also extract natural gas, uranium, and oil.

Too much coal and not enough users of it besides energy. Unless there is a massive increase in other production it won't pay to mine it.
