I'm not opposed to the concept for any moral reasons. In fact, there might be some moral imperatives that we master our own code. But I still think this stuff is simply beyond our grasp. It will probably be for a long, long time.

And it's definitely beyond China's grasp! I think the odds of these experiments going horribly wrong are far greater than those of it succeeding.
