SPONSORSHIP CONFIRMED
Comrades, the deed is done. We’ve successfully sponsored an episode of Richard D. Wolff’s Monthly Economic Updates, and will be mentioned by name. Before I drop the information bombs, I just want to thank all who donated to make this possible. Not only have you helped assist Mr Wolff, Democracy at Work and the reputation of our board, but you also have a lot of gratitude from me personally. This is the first time I’ve made an attempt at any sort of fundraiser or done anything to further a cause, and the way it went this well brings me great joy.
Now, for information. I’m awaiting a reply from an email I have sent to [email protected]/* */ confirming the sponsorship, and they will give me the definite date for the sponsorship announcement on RDW’s monthly updates. But, as far as we can tell, the likely date of our name being announced will be on January of 2017. As I said in the previous thread, this is a little disappointing, but ultimately unavoidable. Regardless, as communists I’m sure patience is a trait most of us have gained.
There will be an update on the crowdfund for those who’ve donated to see the details until tomorrow, at which point it will be shut down. If for some reason someone donates in that time, it will just be sent in as a normal donation.
For confirmation of this sponsorship, just check the [email protected]/* */ sponsorship page, in which the name of our board is on the list of donators. (democracyatwork.nationbuilder.com
The sponsorship donation is for $500, since the option to donate more was bugged out on the page. Therefore I donated $500 for the sponsorship, and $14 as a normal donation.
I think that’s everything for now. Any new information that comes along, I’ll post in this thread (in which I’ll be tripfagging). If you wish to contact me personally, just drop a message to the DCMFCP Facebook page, on which I am one of the admins. (facebook.com
Once again, thanks to all who contributed. I think a nice, celebratory circlejerk would be the best course of action from here on out.
