6/10 Effects were top-notch and the action and Hans Zimmer kept me invested (I'm sure that's enough to win the ticket for most normalfags), but it wasn't that great tbh. It definitely didn't "suck", but it wasn't great either. George's acting (whoever that faggot's name is) was meh at times, and I'm upset that they pulled that "lol, gotta lie so he don't feel bad or nothin' ;_;" with the PTSD Wreck on the boat. The Fisherman and his Fish-Son and maybe Wreck and the Downy-Pilot were the only memorable characters. Branagh is always good, muh dick m8, and the other Britfag who showed up for a moment between the green-coated Colonel (or general Idgaf) sounded like the goy who did the Imperial commander-voice for Star Wars: Battlefront. Anyway, so the focus was on telling the "story of Dunkirk", and it fucking failed (mostly). I like the patriotism (even if it does feel a bit anti-war), but they could have at least kept it historically accurate. The Germans did not take effort to shoot down the retreaters, and this is known even among mainstream historians (it's argued whether Hitler did this out of incompetence or whatnot, as any who knows what really happened, it was as a sign of peace), some of the French soldiers are black as fucking night (dunno why none of the English soldiers were niggers, but I'm okay with that). Basically, if it weren't for the intense action, realistic sound (in my theater, anyway), fairly good acting (minor hiccup I noticed in George, but he was out quickly so it's not really a bother), and Zimmer's track (even if somewhat repetitive it was enough to excite), it would have sucked hard.
Should I watch this or Baby Driver? is Baby driver worth seeing in IMAX?
Brody Wilson
dont give you money to reddit driver
Austin Cooper
any specific reasons that it's bad?
Carter Thomas
This, how was it? Since Wright isn't that bad of a director. But, it did feel a bit "reddit" from the commercials….
Asher Carter
two things
1) never pay for imax. 2) watch a cam rip before deciding if you want to give them shekels. wright is a good director and isn't pozzed, but tristar and sony are.
Samuel Thompson
imax is always worth it just not 3D
it looks like a pile of shit, even Nolan looks good compared to that. Dunkirk is probably straight in IMAX
Adam Ross
character is cringe-level shallow, big gimmick of the movie is that the whole movie is synced to the soundtrack. so when they're playing tequila and there's a shoot-out, the gunshots are synced to the the break of the track. it's fucking dumb
Eli Richardson
i won't deny that it is a great experience but the ticket price says fuck you
Nathaniel Long
in my main theater theres an imax screen that always has the top movie playing, the price is usually reasonable tbh
Jackson Bennett
It's watchable and directed well enough but it really is some kind of numale redditors fantasy film.
Hunter Collins
Oh, alright. You're not gay, right? Twink is gay slang.
Oliver Ramirez
so i'm a conservative numale beta, i'll definitely enjoy it? thanks, needed a flick for tonight.
Wyatt King
Since when is reddit in any way "conservative"?
Nathan Powell
It's just poleddit trying to start another politisperg shitflinging contest.
Mason Carter
Figured as much.
Gavin Bailey
you do realize that her showing up with the car at the end was supposed to be a fantasy sequence right?
Oliver Morales
leftycucks are just triggered that it doesn't have black people in it
this is the best movie this year and you fags know it
Adrian Sullivan
Baby driver was one of the worst movies ever.
Tyler Allen
how about HISTORICAL FACTS and ACCURACY YOU FUCKING CUCKS
Ayden Torres
Right, I've always held Nolan as an overrated director mostly drooled over by fanbois, but I give him credit for his love of film (I mean physical film, not digital cameras), processing the film with the traditional photochemical process (as opposed to scanning the negative and digital color grading), minimal use of CGI and strong preference for practical effects (non-CGI). He also likes to use the large format and his former films have featured exclusive IMAX scenes, but Dunkirk is 80% composed of IMAX filmed shots, these are simply breath-taking to see (but you have to go to a "real" IMAX playing the 15/70 version). I went today to the Mall of Georgia IMAX which is the only theater in GA playing the 15/70 IMAX version of Dunkirk, but it was fucking mind-blowing masterpiece of cinematography.
I'm really fine with the lack of dialog and plot, as seeing it in the IMAX format feels like you're dropped into the action and you're just there and along for the ride. None of the characters takes precedence over the others or steals the show, the audience is simply encapsulated by the action and thrust into trauma inducing events. The sound design was pretty fucking exquisite as well.
I find it ironic that the film is about the white men who fought for the liberal cucks and now they recieve the same hate national socialists do only because they aren't groids. This is the future they fought for.
