The demographics in Hawaii are interesting; the largest minority is actually Japanese, if I remember right. Depending on what polls you look at, that might actually bode well for Trump.
In the USC Dornsife/LA Times Tracking poll, Trump is actually slightly leading in the 'Other' ethnicity category (mostly Asian), although most other MSM polls assume he is behind with Asian-Americans. I could see Hawaiians kind of liking Trump's maverick attitude, and I'm sure he has some properties there, but overall he's probably at a big disadvantage in registration.

I'm in rural Hawaii now. No MAGA hats, no Trump signs in yards. The old folks here are a weird mix politically, the kids vary from druggies to redneckish. Overall the tone is less pro or anti Trump/Shillary and more a rejection of all mainland politics. I don't expect it to swing for Trump, but the population here is a mix of Jap/chink/flip/Hawaiian and white so anything could happen.

On a side note, if you don't mind Asians, Hawaii is practically black-nigger free. There's like 150 - 200 blacks on the island I'm on, out of ~60k people.
