Get yourself a twitter account if you don't have one. You don't need to use your phone number and they don't care to check your e-mail. Get your phone, login to twitter, go to >premiere.sao-game.jp/ OR get Chrome UA Spoofer, and switch it to Android. OR go to developer tools in Chrome and click mobile phone icon. Try Galaxy S5 mode, some user got it to work. Switch to portrait mode, it doesn't work in landscape. You still need twitter.
Right now the bot is parroting a lot of shit anons previously told her in english. Try and use google translate to let her associate jap words with english. Japs already did it for word "sex" since it's japanese counterpart is banned.

It's like connect darts and building a web of associations, though getting her to use proper English syntax will be tricky, in the meanwhile we can at least give her direct translations of words (as testing by asking for meanings of Japanese words in Japanese, she gives literal, seemingly pre-programmed definitions and sometimes a synonym or associated word/sentence) meaning that she's building on top of a precomposed database of definitions (feels like an obvious choice for developers) and will most likely tie definition contained within the Japanese version of the word with the English word you feed her.

Polite sage for off-topic, responding to : Full immersion. Either go live in Japan, or if you can't afford it like most people (myself included), bring Japan home to you.
In the case of Japan, easiest way is to go full-weeb and grab anime, games, novels, music, or even just browsing the Japanese internet- just get whatever you can get your grimy fingers on.
Everywhere you go, think in Japanese. If you're home alone, speak out loud (otherwise you'll reach a weird point where you can pronounce things fine in your head but your tongue won't follow suit). Don't do Skype chats with people like EVERYONE tries to do, having to rely on someone on the other side of the world to do your studies isn't going to get you anywhere.
If you need to study Kanji, grab rikaichan as an electronic dictionary and start drilling them into your skull. I used readthekanji.com/ when it used to be a free service. After you've spent about 6 months doing that ($30 if you pay for it nowadays I guess), grab some Visual Novels with voice acting and if you know how the words sound, you'll be able to learn a bunch of Kanji in a more entertaining manner with a VN and dictionary at hand. Manga has furigana so that might also work well, although I didn't really use Manga much for studying myself.
I never touched a textbook on Japanese until I entered college, entered highest class they offered at the college, and didn't learn a single thing from the class or textbook. I've passed JLPT N1 and everything I study nowadays is beyond whatever the JLPT covers. All the studying was done without ever setting foot in Japan. I've also found work as a programmer who also had to translate Japanese for video conferences with people overseas. So I'm living proof you don't need a textbook to learn Japanese.
All that said, I've used textbooks time and time again for studying programming languages. And I've used video tutorials for learning Blender. Different subjects are best learned via different approaches- I just don't think textbooks are just not a good approach for learning Japanese, they can be very useful for other subjects.
