Has America's foreign policy actually been going to total shit, or is it a part of some greater scheme? It really looks like Russia is blowing us the fuck out in Syria, in terms of PR, but I don't know if they're actually any closer to getting their pipeline.

How does it feel when some 30yr old failure on Holla Forums knows more about foreign policy than you or your mentors do?

American foreign policy, particularly in the Middle East, is premised on a series of delusions. For instance, the state department assumes that Western, Liberal Democracy can be adopted anywhere at anytime. Or that Islam is a religion of peace, and that groups like ISIS are not motivated by religion at all.

If you dispute this orthodoxy, you lose your job. So nobody does. Unfortunately, this means that US foreign policy is rendered completely ineffective.

Do you think we can expect a violent uprising of any sort if the election is rigged or if Trump wins? I know we can't know but just your opinion on it would be nice.

Bonus points: Why do you think were attacking Syria right now? We all know its not oil or to spread freedom.

Getting a PhD in the humanities largely revolves around bullshitting. I didn't go that far in academia to do actual work my man. It's only by chance I ended up getting a fucking job.
