Colorado is weird; they mostly do mail-in ballots since everyone lives far apart.

Ballot is the thing you write on to pick your vote. I'm guessing it's your version of a voting ticket.
Election day is November 8th.
Many states allow early voting, so there are people who have already voted. I've already voted.
Colorado has early voting for a whole month, instead of on the day. They also mostly mail-in their ballots. One of the preshow speakers call Colorado "election month" instead of "election day" referencing their system.
