I lost my virginity at 18, with a 16 year old. That's legal in my country, but would get me locked up in some places. The most we can say is that children who have sexual contact with adults and then get raised in 21st century society and have regular contact with therapists often end up fucked up.

It's almost impossible to conduct unbaised scientific research into the subject, mainly because of ethical considerations, and even when people do try to do the research they can expect to get their careers destroyed if they reach the "wrong" conclusions.
