There is already early-voting going on, the ballots are already printed - there can be no last-minute replacements at this point.

The only way either party can change their candidate at this point would be something like, say, Hillary Clinton dying.
That would require an extension to the election period, namely until another election could be held.

War, severe natural disaster, civil unrest, and of these could, in theory, legally extend the period - albeit, in those cases, it would be Obama remaining in power until such time as whatever issue it was, was settled.

That's not how pardons work. If Obongo is impeached he loses the privilege of retaining Executive powers. Ie, he be stripped of the ability to pardon anyone, and I'm not even sure Executive clemency covers oneself:

Assuming the impeachment is successful not even a new standing POTUS could grant him clemency. This makes me curious if the POTUS has statutory immunity from all States incorporated in the Union…
