Almost all of my friends are leftists. Many of them were social rejects before the LGBTQLMNOP shit got way out of hand, and many of them more or less "became gay" because they didn't fit in anywhere else. The truth is, I've been alienated by them for years now, and they keep me at a distance. I suspect a few people in the group would rather me not be around at all.

I had brought up the supposed Sanders supporters going to Trump rallies beating up Trump supporters, which we later found out were on Clinton's dime, and he outright told me to give him proof and sources. I didn't have any on hand, as we were talking in person, and he more or less stumped me. He later approached me and apologized when he looked into it himself and found the truth. He still won't support the guy, though. That's as reasonable as any of them can get.

The rest of them are mentally ill. They all circle jerk to gay rights shit, feminism, gun control, pro-NSA, anti-Brexit, and anti-Trump bandwagoning. I am completely opposite of the majority of my friends, and all we have in common is that we like video games and pen and paper role playing games. As a result, I hardly see them anymore. Maybe twice a year now.

University student here. I've basically given up on making friends. Not that the peopole are unkind but they are just so brainwashed and linear i can't deal with them. Every aspect of their lives is about things i don't want, things i don't do or things i have no interest in, such as heavy drinking, parties, drugs girls. I like joining up with running groups in areas I move to to meet people. People that are runners normally have decently high agency and are usually white or asian. My office contains very little discussion about politics, there's a very diverse (not in the liberal sense of the word) body of employees there and it's best for everyone involved to not talk about politics.

I don't talk politics with friends unless I know where they stand. Generally, I try to make neutral comments, talk about media corruption, about relatively innocuous stuff like how fact-checking is fucked, and sometimes bring up comparisons between Trump and Andrew Jackson.

The first and less common way is a response of "Oh, that's really interesting" followed by a segue into more history, more media corruption stories, stuff about Hillary's sneaky pay-for-play deals, and how the executive overreach by Obama only made things worse regardless of who gets into power. If they keep responding positively, I keep talking more and more about pro-Trump and anti-Globalist things. Slowly though. You can't cram things into someone's head and expect them to automatically believe it. They have to work it out themselves. I've done the full process to 5-6 people and I'm happy to say that we can have great political conversations.

The other type of person is the one who goes "Pfft, who cares about Hillary, Trump is just a buffoon/sexist/racist/misogynist/evil/dumb/plum/orange haired loser/rapist/sex offender/etc" and immediately gets defensive. This generally triggers the hell out of normies who wow just wow and can't even, until I point the timing, the facts (most of them are already debunked by now) and demand some hard evidence for the basis of the accusations, which I have yet to receive.

3. At this point I generally counter-attack to put the pressure back on them with ironizing on muh polls who say the election is over already so why even bother, or with pointing out one of the latest hot files on Hilldog. It's getting much easier with all the evidence of corruption Wikileaks and O'Keefe are uncovering lately, as it makes the bottom line "Trump may be flawed but look at the system you're supporting" way easier to defend.

Now don't get me wrong, normies are so brainwashed that the idea that Trump might not be the Antichrist and that Hillary isn't exactly the perfect candidate is very hard to swallow. It is almost impossible to convince a shitlib that is not already on the fence to some degree. I never mention my politics directly online. On goybook, I will at the very most post anti Hillary things, very rarely. Never directly pro Trump. Nobody fucking likes Hillary, even the people voting for her, they just don't want to vote for literally Hitler. It's very easy to argue online and say stupid shit to try to look tough, and starting shit online is never smart.

In the real world though, it all depends on circumstance. If I know the person well, I'll challenge them and expose their contradictions until they don't wanna talk politics anymore. But I'll be friendly doing so. They either don't talk politics around me anymore or they make it a joke. If. I don't know them very well, I won't go all out and challenge their ideas. I'll just politely say I disagree, then say a comment that's gonna stick and is closer to being societally acceptable. It makes them think and opens up conversation. Once I feel like I've gotten a sense of their interpersonal red lines, I slide into the above strategy of challenging them by asking questions, that allow them to see how full of contradictions they are.

Just use Horus the Avengers lines, theyre perfect for making a point in a way that you can't be attacked.
