I fail to see the problem. Northern Ireland and Scotland gone would guarantee a significantly crippled Left by default. It also makes England (and Wales assuming they remain loyal) vastly less desirable to immigrants, and brings about a newfound nationalism throughout the country. Furthermore, those that have come here from the EU (and to a lesser extent from outside) will have significantly less reason to stay here.
We also get the benefit of watching Scotland fail hard.

I agree scotland would fail hard. The open borders would see a massive spike of benefits immigrants going there and massively swelling the ranks of the habitually unemployed and everything that goes with it like higher crime rates, building new jails to hold all the new child rapists and terrorists and the cost of surveillance for all the potential terrorists etc. Their national health cost will also spiral out of control rapidly.
Some Scots still talk of the billions they can make from oil, but as it turned out that was all just pie (haggis) in the sky with most of the oil being low quality and incredibly expensive to access. Unless oil prices soar to 2008 prices (around $138/barrel) it's not worth them bothering to get oil, in fact when you take into account minimum wage, cost of living expenses rises, etc, the price per barrel of oil would have to get up to around $170/barrel for them to make any meaningful profit.
My understanding is that Scotland takes more than it gives to the rest of the UK so normally I would say let the fuckers join Europe and then go bankrupt in the space of 12 months. I can't see them ever joining the EU though, and they wouldn't have the means to import significant immigration what with the insufficient funds/manpower to provide housing for them. Secondly, I doubt Scotland would allow for the same mistake that we are seeing now. When you factor in the ever-increasing detriment caused by immigration and the still more severe future that lies ahead of us, I can't see how the Scottish people would allow it to happen.

I'll readily admit that it is pure speculation. However, I have a belief that the fallout from Scotland leaving and Ireland's continued EU membership, as well as all the endless religious stresses will be sufficient in NI disassociating with the "UK" to a great degree. Speculation that it will be to the point of NI leaving, but that is my hunch.
