It's perhaps a concept more relevant to aristocratic nations outside burgerland, like yuropoors, but think of the difference between someone who grew up in a working class family versus someone who grew up in an old money family. Hipsters, for instance, are often derided as rich kids attempting to adopt the æsthetic of the poor, while many suburbanites are derided as middle-class pretending to be rich.
