This is not the permanent new nightly logo. Mozilla is testing their infra for updating the logo due to the refreshed Firefox logo coming in version 57. For the past week the nightly logo has been rotated daily, and has been everything from a fake logo based on Calvin & Hobbes (i.imgur.com/4i64UJa.png) to every historic Firefox project logo (i.redd.it/x3jiq3lyrhfz.png).

I used Firefox since the earliest versions, since the early Windows XP days, up until around 2012 when I finally moved over to Chromium. I gotto say it was painful watching this once great browser suffer more and more from feature creep and bloat over the years until it just became ridiculous. When something like this happens to a project one can only blame the leadership for failing to enforce high coding standards.

Somebody should fork firefox as of current version. Multiprocess works fine and has made it really fast, but in a few months practically all of my addons are dead. It's good now though except some bullshit that needs to be disabled manually that a proper fork could just exclude entirely.

The multiprocess actually works now (for me, forced on even though I have a few addons that are not marked as compatible). It makes a tremendous difference in speed.

Why does firefox communicate with Google server even when no tabs open? Yet pale moon doesn't?
