Noway. A comic is already a cheap product, scans of one are virtually worthless. You wouldn't pay money for a digital picture of the Mona Lisa. Digital pictures are inherently low value because of the fact that they are not physical, and can be easily copied.

Comic shops from what I've seen stock everything they can; big two, indies, undergrounds, magazines, locals, manga, imports… problem is even with all those they can barely stay afloat, between the utterly impenetrable barriers to entry for new people and the utter glut of shit books.

Do you honestly see monthly floppies continuing in our lifetimes? The audience that's nostalgic for them is dying off and new readers are trade waiting.

Yeah it's always extremely easy to make depressing stories. Creating stories that convey hope or joy is what is really difficult and what people are often wanting from their entertainment.

This is why the Japanese model for selling comic books seems superior with how they do magazines with several different series of stories inside.

The only reason businesses want digital is because they think through copyright laws they can control the market a lot more. They want greater control so they can start charging more. I don't think he's defective, there is something noble in being able to resist the siren song of power. Venom just clashed too much with Peter's ideals. The story was of this african girl who is the daughter of some african scientist working for the UNSC as she tries to find her father and flee New Mombassa as the Covenant invade.
