I didn't see this thread when I made another one that has the original PSD template and font files. That thread is over here: but I'll re-post the archive link and directions here. Font is Proxima Nova - I checked it against the NBC originals images and the glyphs match perfectly. I also increased the original size by 400% to better match the glyph alignment.

Nice job on this one too. Couple suggestions to improve the aesthetics. Move the checkmark and lines down so you can move the text down more, it'll look better. Keep the spacing between the small type below "The Claim" and the large "The Truth" heading too.

Re-do these please with the template I posted above , that one has the right fonts and the type layers are already sized the same as the NBC originals. It'll look more realistic.

If you want to replace the check box in the template with yours, just hide the layer in the template and use File > Place to put your png in its place. But I'm not sure what you're having trouble with in the first place.

Yes. But Adobe are particularly awful about security (Flash and Adobe Reader are the modern day Internet Explorer) while a project like OpenSSH has an excellent record. Chrome, for a browser, is also fairly good.

Also the concern here is that Adobe are greedy Jews and that it's unnecessary to require Photoshop for a fucking image macro when GIMP or Krita or Inkscape exist.

Yeah I didn't vector trace the checkmark, just background extracted it. I figured it'd be close enough to the original background color even if it moved, and with the jpeg compression it's not noticeable anyway. Remember to save images with JPEG level 8, I checked and it matches NBC's originals perfectly.

Move the checkmark and lines layer down further, check some of the NBC originals to see how they did the spacing.

Also make sure you goys are downsizing the template. I sized it up by 400% to get everything aligned sub-pixel accurate, but it's designed to be sized back down by 25% and that puts the resolution the same as the NBC originals.

Oh and one more suggestion. If your background looks kinda busy behind the text, throw a layer mask on your background picture. It's the layer below the gradient overlay layer. Use the paintbrush tool with the hardness set to zero and a large brush, and set the paintbrush opacity to 40%. Then just paint in the mask layer with black around the text area. You can kind of see how I did that with this image - the bottom left is masked out and I blended it upwards as well as to the right so the text isn't distracted by the background.
