I'm also not mentioning that the only medication covered by public healthcare is garbage that treats symptoms instead of the problem, when it's not poison that they use off indication (IE treating anxiety with SSRIs or anti-psychotics, same for booze withdrawal).

But there was no real difference in healthcare. Usually US care was faster than whatever socialized system you'd compare it to.

When the private sector insurance companies reacted to the new regs put on them by jacking up premiums, people started to wise up, but go figure those of us in the industry saw it coming years in advance. No one wanted to listen though….
