FLAC recompressor

I need some program to recompress/transcode 16 GiB FLAC files without losing the metadata.

I'd be really grateful for a working solution!

All of the files together are 16 GiB.
Just in case somebody misunderstands.

You should be able to compress FLAC to FLAC all day long without losing tags. What program are you using that removes them?

I tried with the official command line tool. It just copied the file when I tried.

And I tried dBpowerAmp

It did the same.

Any recommendations?

Sound Converter double checked with puddletag. It's all there m8

You'll probably hate me for this but I use Winshit for vidya.

I don't care. One of the perks of Linux I guess.

Sound Converter doesn't run on Windows.

Look If I used that I'd have to copy 20 GiB in my VM and copy the result out.

Install gentoo.

Linuxfags: This tool also just copies the file. How about you try it first? I've tested it in my VM.
