I love how no one is mentioning that police have bad administration, terrible training, and mandate a "Goldilocks zone" for I.Q. testing- can't be too smart or too dumb to be a cop in most areas.

This policy is defended on the basis that high I.Q. people may get bored easily and quit part way through, thus wasting expensive training, but in reality it's to prevent new officers from gaining rank too quickly.
