Sure, it's not a need - but it's damn useful in today's world. I also don't need the internet, or more than one pair of shoes, or to shave or to use shampoo, or to drink a beer with my friends, or to watch movies or read books.

I understand your point, and it is a fine line - sure. I mean, I wouldn't use that logic to justify becoming a capitalist CEO. But the reality is that these things are "every-day" commodities of capitalist production, and to stop using them because of that fact is cutting off your nose to spite your face.
