BO has gone quiet for a while, and we've had mods increasingly willing to let obvious bait and Holla Forums shitposting fly: partly out of laziness, partly out of some vague notion of "maintaining free speech," and partially to spite a community they've become increasingly disillusioned over.
Best you can do is sage/report/hide shit threads and bump decent threads. Hopefully at some point in the near future the moderation problem gets dealt with.

Seriously though: These seeds of Holla Forums's decline into being this bad have been sown a long time ago. There has always been this general sentiment of trying to basically suck up to the right and prove that we're not like the other lefties… ;^), and that on top of "free speech" as an excuse for Holla Forums to shitpost here, the influx of newfags, the lack of people who read theory or do anything IRL for leftism or anarchism, and the general state of Holla Forums and the people who use imageboards (ex-Holla Forumsyps who are still spooked), has all been mixed together into a sandwich of shit and AIDS masquerading as "leftism".
Things might have been different if the mods were more on top of their game, but I think it was basically unavoidable that the board would turn into some kind of cult of seekrit club-tier "leftism". It's kind of hard to avoid with imageboards.

So for anyone hating the IRC, why? We dont actually do anything. We chill on our own IRC and mumble and that's it. We never claimed to be a vangaurd of leftypol, that was something butthurt anarchkiddies have been repeating.
We have only caused real drama once, and that was because one of the actual mods of this place started banning us all for literally no reason. I think that's something worse causing a little camotion over.
There was a point where there were many, many tripfags on leftypol. This was not the IRC's fault, it just so happened the majority of them went on the IRC. Now however, only about 2 maybe 3 people regually trip from the IRC.
So what's the fucking problem? Stop pinning all of leftypol's problems on us when we're ultimately doing fuck all to leftypol. Hell most of us go on bunkerchan more than leftypol by this point.
The real problem with leftypol are the mods who refuse to talk with their own user base about problems, and refuse to implement any quality control for bait threads.
