You must be retarted. How would switching to renewable energy end any of the US's ongoing wars?

I don't see what's wrong with the assertion that we should transition away from fossil fuels. Communities being more self-sufficient is not a bad thing, especially when it means we're no longer reliant on either unequal trade agreements with reactionary states or periodic invasions of oil-rich parts of the world.

Because a lot of America's wars were over oil?

This tbh. I look forward to the day when vehicles are powered by electricity and every community produces its own electricity.

im not knocking on switching to renewable energy. Im saying that switching won't end the US's drone campaigns and attacks and that the Green Party is a non-serious party to begin with full of silly characters – many of whom deny the benefits of vaccination. Maybe I should have spelled this out.

Our bombing Yemen, Syria and Afghanistan is over oil?

I look forward to the day mass transit becomes the new normal in my part of the world and I'm no longer required to own a money-pit-on-wheels to get around.

This too.
Hyperloops m8.

How would switching to renewable energy stop them? Maybe you can clear this up for me.

...

Yes

The conflict in Syria was intentionally propped up to destabilize the region to prevent a planned oil pipeline from Iran that would have run through Syria.

I like the American Party of Labor, especially after Gary Johnson said he would sign the TPP while admitting that trade deals are full of crony capitalism. #garyforgulag2016

Less struggle over resources.

Anti-vac is neither an official position of the Green Party, nor is it a position that is unique to it's minority of members. Anti-vac is an unfortunate phenomenon that's rather unique to America, and you'll find strains in it in every party. Green Party just doesn't have the resources to either suppress or capitalize on those members, meaning they get mean glares from both sides of the "debate."

Don't get me wrong, the Greens aren't perfect, but at LEAST they are a recognizable party that are anti-capitalist (as of recently anyways) and have socialist ideological leanings that are at least "marketable."

"Hey, man. I really need help."

"Stop being a victim. Get over it. Start a business!"

The Greens in Illinois just tried to get SPUSA kicked off the ballot. They are not allies.

Maybe I'm other countries the Green Party is more serious. But I saw them debate. It was pathetic.

SPUSA is infected with idpol.

did they give a reason?

Unlike the Green Party?

It was at this moment that I realized that the Libertarian Party are the tankies liberal politics.

No, just pointing it out.

True. But they are an explicitly socialist party. The Greens are opportunists that adopted an "anti-capitalist" stance to ride the Sandman's wake. The party is pump faking and we shouldn't take the bait.

I wouldn't be so sure.

Papa Wolff is (or was, I'm not sure of his current status) a member of the Green Party's shadow cabinet.

What is a shadow cabinet? (lel)

Wolff is dope. I just wonder how much influence he has on the party at large. They are filled with new age latte liberals.

I know Chris Hedges and Noam Chomsky are supporters also. But, I think it's mostly because they're the largest left-learning third party that get ballot access sometimes.

It's a Britbong thing that other parties mimic where an opposition party will form a mock cabinet reflecting the one in power (and becomes the actual cabinet should the party actually gain power). I'm not sure how that works in the Green Party does it, but they have or had him in some shadow position on economics.

Well, he authored the amendment that made them anti-capitalist.

hi FBI.

Green Party is the only way to go if you're still mesmerized into thinking voting matters.

The Green Party's obsession with open borders is pretty much a formula for societal suicide.

Mexicans stream across our borders by the tens of thousands daily, but if you sneak INTO mexico and get caught, well son….you really fucked up. Enjoy that mexican prison and the embassy not knowing where you are.

There's below net zero immigration with Mexico, retard.

What that means is that Mexicans are going back to Mexico, largely because the unskilled labor market in the United States dried up after the crash. The immigrants are literally just being used as scapegoats by reactionary demagogues.

Nice source.

hyperloop is shit, it is individualized mass transit.

Looks like a rogue member.

OP is a fag

Stein seems pretty based, tbqh.

a 100% transition to clean renewable energy is impossible

Greens are the only party with traction saying they want to end capitalism.
They're the best we got right now.

do the greens actually say they want to end capitalism?

Yeah, they're adding a papa wolff approved amendment to their platform that says so

Afaik, they said that they're anti-capitalist

Jesus tittyfucking christ. "Individual freedom and liberty" won't mean shit if you don't have the capital to "create your own job", which is most 20-somethings from working class backgrounds these days. Fucking lolberts are the biggest fuckwits I have ever seen.

honestly i appreciate that he's honest that he doesnt give a shit about poor/disabled people instead of pretending to be some hero of the working class like trump.

Do you happen to know of any decent literature or resources on U.S. wars and their connection to oil?
I've been wanting to do more research on the subject.

so what

I thought it was so Saudi Arabia could build a pipe to Europe to fuck with the Russians.

>>>Holla Forums

greens hate nuclear energy (even though it's cleaner than coal and pure renewables is basically still impossible at this point)

Greens are dirty, worthless hippies.

I'm voting SEP but this is a shit criticism.

If we refused to support any party with a single poorly thought out policy, we wouldn't support any political parties…
oh wait…

thats the number 1 reason why i think
greenies are retard

Only real qualm I have with em tbqh lad.

Nuclear energy could make earth and soon, hopefully, mars into paradise… but no, nuclear energy carries some weird stigma because people can't not imagine bombing the shit out of each other with it.

Too much fallout I suppose.

I'm surprised no mentioned the reparations and wage gap crap. The Green party is knee deep in idpol.

You fucking what mate?

The concerns I've heard from my environmentalist friends are nothing to do with nuclear weapons. They don't trust private companies to safely run the reactors without cutting corners to save money and ultimately causing radioactive leaks. They also don't trust that our containment technology is advanced enough to safely contain the waste for the hundreds of thousands of years it will take to decay.

In my opinion the positives outweigh the negatives, but these concerns are much more valid than your straw-man.

Solar alone could eliminate coal as an energy source.
