No. Free market is garbage. It only worked in America for a short while for a couple reasons.
1. During America's industrial revolution the government just let businesses run their coarse, somewhat akin to social Darwinism, but in the pursuit of materialism.
2. American labor was cheap as fuck, America was where you outsources. Unwashed hordes of cheap labor from Eastern and Southern Europe, ultra competitive because those fuckers would do anything, so more self respecting Europeans would be taking it up the ass anyway.
Now we live in a society post of this happening, everything is bought and controlled for by wealthy merchants, oligarchies, etc.,

When a self-sufficient economy also refuses to stop trade with all other economies it becomes Closed economy, Basically an Autarky can still recieve imports and export but still remain self-sufficient.
Technically North Korea is not a closed economy , as they hold trade deals with China
